Ruined Costa Rica forever
The hotels were terrible. One especially was beyond awful. There were bugs in the beds and lizards crawling throughout the room due to the lack of or damaged screens in the windows. Four teenage girls were expected to sleep in a room where the door did not lock. Safety was not taken seriously. A member of the group sat on a hammock and it collapsed causing her a fairly serious injury. The food was awful and we were served the same 3 meals through the entire trip. I spent the entire 9 days hungry and spent over $600 dollars on snacks to survive. The entire tour felt very rushed and extremely overpriced for what we received.
