Exceeded expectations
This was a fantastic trip, all around. I have taken several groups of students on EF trips to diverse places beyond Europe, and this was definitely one of the best trips. The tour directors were each different but fantastic. They were also exceptional in ensuring travelers with allergy or dietary needs were well taken care of. I was nervous because all of the meals on this trip are pre-planned and included, but it worked out fantastically and allowed us to maximize our time (instead of time lost looking for places to eat lunch). The activities and pacing were well balanced. I do recommend adding the extension days because it gives the trip more value with the days lost to traveling between the countries. We did add them, and it was well worth it. I also recommend doing all of the add-on activities, especially the organic farm. That was one of favorite experiences of the entire trip. I could not be more pleased with our experience. The students were most excited about Thailand (prior to the trip), and they came back equally enthusiastic about Cambodia and Vietnam. EF already does trips to Vietnam (on its own) and I hope they start the same for Cambodia. Related to safety, we felt very safe everywhere we went on this trip, much more safe than when I've taken students to Europe, in fact.
