I am the owner of Mad Mom's Logistics, LLC. I signed my first contract with Ecapital on 6/26/2024. At first, I was dealing with Brad, and everything ran pretty smooth for the most part. During the buyout process with my previous factoring company Denim (I should have stayed!) they had to raise my capital because of the number of invoices they were buying. That took place on 7/12/2024. Since I've been fully transitioned it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE... The first batch of invoices I submitted had to be confirmed by the customer (even though customer confirmations are required to submit anything). I knew that was normal since I have had other factoring companies call me to confirm the first invoice with a new carrier. Now they are stating that every single invoice that I submit has to be confirmed by the customer. I submit a carrier and customer rate confirmation and my own invoice for my customer on every load. I even offered to start sending the email confirmation showing my customers email address and all of the load information listed on the invoice so it would in-fact be directly from my customer. I move for a massive forwarding company and their A/P department is usually slow to respond so, this now pushing my funding out for who knows how long. I had a carrier invoice me through Ecapital and they never reached out to me, nor did they send me the invoice. I had to get it directly from the carrier and it was the first time I had been entered into their system so, I am guessing their policy changes depending on who is submitting the loads.. Another issue I am having is they are refusing to ACH/EFT 2 of my carriers. I specialize in LTL freight, so a huge bulk of my carrier invoices are from WWEX. Ecapital is the only factoring company that will not ACH/EFT to them due to the account name on WWEX banking information isn't exactly the same as their entity name on carrier 411... I have put them in contact directly with WWEX, but they still refuse to pay them with anything other than money code and big companies like that do not accept money code.. I am on 15-day terms with them so, I am currently 2 months behind on payments and at risk on my account being locked due to lack of payment. There is no rush or solution from their underwriting team. I attempted to add rail carrier that I do weekly business with, and they denied them for the exact same reason. I am now stuck with a stack of invoices that I cannot pay because they do not want to accept what's being submitted. I even reached out to other factoring companies to ask them if this was an issue for them and every one of them said no and most of them already have these carriers in their system... I cannot afford to buy my way out of my contract because I am a very small brokerage with no capital. I started my company with only $100 so, factoring cash flow is the only way I am able to stay above water. Ecapital has managed to hold my head under water for the short time I have been with them. My customers and carriers are already irritated. I will be looking for a new company the moment I am able to get out of my contract. If Ecapital doesn't get me shut down before then... I do not recommend them whatsoever. The only good thing I can say about them is that my account rep Meagan Knott is sweet and just trying to do her job. Most of my issues are not directly her job other than confirming my invoices. If I could get away from them right now, I would without hesitation...
UPDATE - Once the upper management got involved my issues were addressed and fixed to the best of their abilities. I decided it was best to stop while we were ahead and just part ways. Mrs. Barbara was kind enough to let me out of my contract without all of the extra fees. Once my new factoring company came in, the process went quickly. They did not make the transition rough at all and for that I am thankful. I would say this company is a much better fit for bigger carriers / brokers for sure. I would say to definitely read all contracts thoroughly and be very open and honest about your expectations. I am pleased with the way the buyout process went and how communitive they were through the process.
