Review summary
KIA has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Kia Bolton absolute rubbish. Went in in March 2024 to buy a car but the system was down so promised a call back, and 16 months later it still never happened so I bought it somewhere else, now trying to BUY a service plan and promised a call from the service team, 7 days later still no call. Speak to Kia customer service and they send you to the dealer who never call back. If this is the service they offer when I am trying to buy something imagine how bad it would be if I had an issue. I have had 4 Kia's now and this will be my last one
DM Kieth Kia Leeds.
Absolute pleasure from ordering to picking up my new car.
Tony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and explained fully how the Motability Scheme works and how it would help me to purchase my new car.
He was instrumental in me choosing this route , as it had always worried me in the past.
Tony kept me informed regularly regarding when the car would arrive and when the adaptation work would be carried out.
The whole experience has been stress free and very straightforward .
I love the new Kia Sportage and would highly recommend the Leeds Kia dealership to anyone who wants an excellent buying experience.
I would have given them a 5 star review except for the fact that one person at the desk let them down .
I had a front camera replaced and when the work was don , the bumper was not put on straight . Had words with a certain individual that worked on the desk .
After trying to sort out the mess , I finally had a call from the service manager Bobbie !
He sorted it out with flying colours, excellent service ,polite to the point and extremely professional.
Hopefully the of his staff will take note of how it should be done .
Well done Bobbie. And thank you !
Today Monday 7th I walked into kia bristol to look at the price of a brand new picanto .I wandered around the showroom giving the salesmen plenty of time to acknowledge me AND NOTHING. I WONT BE BUYING A NEW CAR AT THIS DEALER.( shocking service) GO ELSEWHERE.
Second purchase from Kia TMS Leicester, only changed due to wanting more space going from soul (which never had a problem) to a sportage. Excellent service from browsing, exploring different models and purchasing. This was all seamless with the aftercare team following up. I was met by friendly, approachable, personable staff. Very knowledgable and very unbiased, gave me lots of information without any pressure. I’m loving my new car, kids are enjoying the space and extra room and features. Would definitely recommend.
I bought Kia Stinger October 2020. Few weeks ago I noticed a peeling/bubbling paint around both rear lights. Contacted my local Kia dealer to make some photos and claim under warranty. Guess what, warranty doesn't cover this on a car older less than 3 years. I found hundreds of publications that obviously there is a issue with yellow sunset ones. The poor paint quality was traced to a defective oil the paint relies on to preserve its longevity and strength.KIA is recalling all Stingers that were painted Sunset Yellow due to a supplier defect that causes the paint to crack. Yesss not UK obviously. 7 years warranty, well only on papers!
Don't buy a Kia!!!!!!
I bought Kia Sportage car in 2016 March.Engine itself failed now just 50k miles.
Be careful when you buy Kia products.
No dashboard proper messages.
Try to avoid if you looking for a car to use for few years..use and throw quickly purpose Kia may be worth.
Three days after I traded in my old Kia Picanto for £6,500, it was on sale for £9,500 at Kia Speedwell Paignton.
They had me over, bang off.
As an old customer, I didn’t see that coming. Be warned.
A Kia Sportage had to be taken to the Kia Dealership Drayton Motors due to the car unroadworthy after approx 9000 miles and purchased in 2020. A part was identified to be replaced which was placed on order. This was 14th April and I am still waiting. The Kia Dealership tells me to contact Kia direct because its better that I shout as they might listen more. Nobody can inform me when the part will arrive and when the car will be roadworthy again. It is now the 2nd June. Kia cannot give me an answer when I can receive the car back and roadworthy
Kia, Burton on trent, May 2021.
Total fiasco!
First visit Sunday, car I wanted was sold but they could get another. Come back to test drive.
Second visit, car did not exist, unable to locate, but could test drive a similar tomorrow (not today as arranged) . ‘Found’ another sportage to test drive, but it would not start. Back to hunt the white car. Found one, but being driven by staff not in today. In tomorrow, call back and test drive then. But why not buy new not a demonstrator (on Sunday the advise was to buy a demonstrator NOT new)
Vague on costs, would be sorted tomorrow by the new car expert - new car?
Third and final visit, test drive, car was dirty, coffee cups, kids stuff, not cleaned before a customer allowed to drive it. This vehicle was not available and would not be for three months, had others etc etc. Different spec, colours, mileage, age etc, price?
Sat down to do paper work, nothing could be sorted because the expert was eager to leave. Come back he said.
So three visits, no definite price, no confidence in the four staff we had dealings with, absolute jokers.
I have seen others have had the same problem as me. guarantee is not worth the paper its on. clear fault with alloy wheel finish. all 4 bubbling on edges on kia ceed. told caused by stone chips which is clearly not the case. rest of whhel fronts all great. problem is with back edge of spokes on all 4 wheels. I used to think kia was a good buy but not anymore
2 problems with Kia Sportage...
Internal panel came off drivers door won’t clip back. Not covered by warranty
Sunroof stopped working told not covered by warranty...
It appears things are expected to go wrong in first 7 years...
Don’t buy a Kia!!!
