Far below minimum acceptable standards of service

Filthy move in conditions, signs of mold, rot, and pet urine damage unaddressed; difficulty, lagging responsiveness in communication; lack of willingness to facilitate fixes; Darwin failed to meet minimum obligations of lease at move-in related to safe, healthy living conditions, avoided communication repeatedly until after 5pm (refusing after as the business was closed for the day), and expected tenant to problem solve beyond tenant obligations in their stead

I'm truly old school (face to face…

I'm truly old school (face to face interactions is what I'm a custom to) when it comes to viewing & applying to rent a property. So completing the online application was a little hectic. But with the help from a Darwin Homes representative, it made the process alot easier. My experience with the Darwin Homes Representatives, thus far has made me feel very comfortable and at ease with this new age renting process. Job well done !

A nightmare

The move in was, and still is a nightmare. Even thought we had to wait a while to move in because of the so called “maintenance” that was being done to the property: -There was no maintenance done on the property whatsoever. It was left completely untouched. -The property was not cleaned for move in. -There was trashed dumped on the lawn and dead bugs.” -there is no way to fully secure the property since the gate locks were not changed and we do not have the key -the yard looked like a jungle -The master bedroom window is literally plexi glass and scotch tape glued together. You can literally push it open from the outside -the blinds on the windows were broken -water stains all over the door frames -the electrical system is all out of wack finding out is which light is going to turn on when you switch most switches is like Russian roulette -there was a suspicious bowl under the sink that we did not pay too much mind to, but the sink is leaking and it was clearly put there to collect water. -the closets are missing the rods and doors. Literally the entire doors, but that is the least of our problems. Out of all these items and security issues, the only one that was sort of addressed is the lawn. They sent someone with seemingly no landscaping experience and the job was extremely sloppy. Didn’t even have the decency to send a landscaper. The most insulting part is that the communication is there, there is just nothing being done. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Move-in Process Customer Service

I have to say our move-in process certainly wasn’t glitch-free, but I was so impressed with the customer service our move-in specialist provided! Every step of the way, she made sure we were able to contact her as needed, and she demonstrated great problem-solving skills while helping us address concerns as they arose. She did not have immediate answers for all our questions, but I know she worked diligently behind the scenes to make sure all our questions were answered and issues were resolved in time for us to move in as scheduled. I felt totally supported and I am full of gratitude for the assistance we received, and I look forward to continuing to work with the Darwin homes team this next year.

Great Experience thus far

The process for us was great. Andrea (Andi) Villorente was amazing throughout the process. She was consistent in following up with anything that we needed to ensure the things were smooth. Ashley Williams did a good job of communicating with us and keeping us informed. The overall move-in experience was excellent. The move-in instructions were simple. Thus far, I am very pleased with Darwin Homes.
