Been to Comic Con Liverpool 3 times, my first being May 2024, then again in November 2024 and most recently the one just gone. First off, WOW, the guest lists for these 3 alone was insane. Heroes of... See more

This was the first time doing comic con Liverpool, I only did one day but thoroughly enjoyed it. In regards to photos/autographs, I think the queuing system needs to be a bit better than it was. I also honestly think, if you are going to do timeslots then there shouldn't be any allowances for pay on the day (unless the guest is pay on day) until later on in the afternoon, and to concentrate more on the ones that have actually booked and paid. As quite a few queues had loads of people trying to pay at the counter section for photos etc.
Amazing experience! For anyone who doesn’t want to stand in queues much, buy a diamond pass. Otherwise expect to spend the day queueing! Guest variety is amazing, brilliant staff and overall a great atmosphere.
This wonderful event has become the best comic con around, and I have been attending con's for 25 years.
Comic Con Liverpool in May 2024 was an absolute triumph in my experience. All the monopoly staff were an absolute delight to talk to and we had such an amazing time. The inclusion of the arena was also a masterstroke, especially with the inclusion of the additional seating. My only gripes are with the arena staff with some coming across as rather stand-off ish and some of the the paying customers being incredibly entitled but alas these are out of the organisers hands. All in all we had an amazing time on Sunday and we can’t wait to return in November
We as a family absolutely love the Monopoly events comic cons, and go to 6-7 a year! We are just recovering from Liverpool after spending the weekend with our diamond passes and little Ripley. The quality of guests and sheer talent in the organisation of such epic events blows my mind. There are some stand out staff members - Neil Hibbert, Ben Fenlon, Mike Van Driel, Grace and Holly, Amanda Sarah, Dave Harris, and Kiefer. You are all amazing and go above and beyond for everyone, even in the adversity of stressful moments and some rude and disrespectful attendees. Most issues we have had and have seen others comment on tend to be down to the venue staff/security and nothing to do with monopoly. Some guests are sometimes very busy and the queues long, but again if the guest arrives a bit late this has a knock on effect for the day and there is little Monopoly can do about it. I would personally happily trade a bit longer queuing to get a bit more engagement from the guests. John Cleese this weekend was a prime example and was so sweet and engaging with Rips. We have been to other comicons run by other companies on occasions, and they don't hold a candle to Monopoly. We feel like we are among family when we come to these events, with some of the best staff, traders and many comic con friends we’ve met over the years and now see regularly at each event. It’s a special community that you have created Andy, thank you!
The venue was large and a lot of seating provided and was amazing. The queues for photo ops though weren’t great and kept overflowing (however no fault of the staff/volunteers) it was more the running behind schedule which didn’t help, the staff kept consistency and were helpful where possible. The lanyards on arrival along with a guide for two days was a great idea and I love a lanyard so was great to see they were there upon entrance. All in all great weekend, just a bit of structuring on queues would be better where possible but all in all amazing con and great people to meet and amazing line up.
Been to two Liverpool Comic Cons so far, the most recent being the May24 one. We had a great time this past weekend! I only had one photo booked, so a lot of our time was spent looking around at stalls and watching stage performances (puppet cinema in particular was great)! The one photo was with Jared (thank you for bringing him) and the timeslot worked really well for us. Got in no problem and only people with the right slot were allowed in. There's definitely room for improvement, particularly in managing the areas that get most congested but sounds like this is already be being looked into. Overall we're definitely interested in coming back sometime!
It was well organised amd the staff was really helpful
Very poorly run from start to finish. Taking tops off sealed bottles of water and except people to walk round all day with opened bottles just stupid (that so called rule didn't last half the day they stopped doing it ) People who had prebooked a time slot for meet an greets yet staff didnt know anything about time slots and was letting people in who had paid on the day in before them, yet these people shouldn't have been let in the queues till 12PM. we missed out on seeing 3 meet am greets because of the poor running of this event, and now having to send email after email to get a refund of over £200.
This was the best weekend of my life! The LOTR guests were wonderful and so lovely. The other visitors were chatty and friendly in queues. The Monopoly staff were brilliant, particularly the ladies wearing the green tops on the autographs in the ECL and, also the guy with the black t-shirt and the red hair. They were fab! The venues were easy enough to find our way around, considering we've not been before and the seating in the M&S arena was very welcome. The time slots, on the whole, worked for us, there were a couple of issues with being sent away with a ticket to come back later. The queues for the photo ops in ECL were horrendous on Sat and we couldn't even find the end. I think that a member of staff standing at the end of rhe queue with a sign on a stick would help. Sunday, they were much better, but they can be quite stressful for me navigating them, as I am legally blind. I managed pretty well on the whole, though. I loved all the info in advance about who would be where at what time etc. That is super helpful! Staff were pretty helpful if you needed to ask a question. I found the venue staff were a lot more strict and actually quite rude to people at times (from what I saw, not personally experienced). A variety of foods for people with allergies or conditions such as coeliac would be good, please. And please can we have an exact list of foods lr drink that will be allowed, because I've seen some people get sealed water taken off them and other allowed through with cans etc. Overall I had the best time!
The liverpool comic con ,is now without doubt, one of the best conventions in the uk ,/ Europe, it will get bigger and better each year, and this is the one you will want to attend, for all your, cosplay, and the guest stars ,our out of this world ,so liverpool is the place to be and make it so ,,,you won't be disappointed,,
Was my first ever con on the 4th May 2024 it was awesome and I can't wait to go ro the next one!
Had a wonderful time at our first con! There’s absolutely boat loads of things to do as well as seeing your fave guests, worth the entry ticket alone just to go for the vibe of the event! We seen all the LOTR cast as well as Jared Padalecki and it was just mind blowing! There were a few queue issues from what I’ve read but we never had any with the ones we had, and the guests were all super friendly too. All the staff we spoke too were helpful when asking for directions! Would defo recommend to anyone of any age, the youngest we seen was about 6 weeks old and there were definitely some youngsters in their 70’s there too so get yourself along for a day out!
This is the best comiccon I have ever been too it flowed well .. there were so many happy people on both days everyone was loving the event... Andy and the whole Monopoly team have smashed this event right out of the solar system each comiccon gets bigger and better with everyone having a blast... an Awesome event with Amazing guests who take time too talk.. an event filled with all the lovely people having the time if there lives.... a once in a life time experience not too be missed
Well what can I say? Me and my boys been to three monoply events and loved every one. Got to meet our favourite actors, got autographs and bought some great memorabilia, it's a great experience especially browsing all the stalls to see what goodies we could buy. These guys at monoply events do a great job and is well organised! Thanks guys for the great memories 👍
I loved the staff!! So lovely and kind💖
We went on Saturday and to say it has improved over the years is an understatement. Last time I went was just before lockdown in March 2020 😬 and that wasn't a good experience at all with everyone being so packed in to the ECL. Fast forward to now and it was by far a better time. Using the 3 arenas is much better and putting all the props in the M&S Arena was genius. I loved the atmosphere and experience. The seats available to sit in is brilliant too. The ECL with the stalls was a good experience although there still needs to be more room between the far stalls by the wall. Wasn't nice being so crammed in around there. I bought one photo opportunity and it seemed to be organised pretty well although I felt a little claustrophobic in that queue but it went down quick enough. Can't comment on the panels or red area as we never went there. All in all I had a really good day. Loved the M&S arena part, loved all the cosplay. Not sure I can afford November but will definitely be back in 2025. My only negative is the food/drink in there. Wow just ridiculous prices. We just waited and stopped somewhere on our way home (we're from Liverpool) but I know that's not an option for everyone. I know its the venue that sets these prices. Rip off! Take a packed lunch if you can
Amazing weekend, such a thrill getting to meet my heros from when I was a teen (red dwarf!) and other headliners.... I'll echo what others have said thou, better crowd control is needed (perhaps look at entrance tickets sales... Felt extremely crowded) timeslots only work if they're adhered to, mine were not checked, ensure pre orders are priority in autograph queues, this reduces people missing out on what they paid for, walk ups on the day should go second once pre orders are seen, so maybe train the staff and voluntary to be vigilant in checking slots and prepaids, I thoroughly enjoyed the props, the live stage (drag castle in particular) the stalls were a bit cramped ., there needs to be more space there, as an autistic person I became overwhelmed a lot Monopoly normally put on amazing events, and this wasn't an exception to the rule but there could be some improvement with waiting times for attendees, and crowd control, other than that, epic event as always
Meeting all the wonderful people there, loads of excellent guests, super prop builds and venue. The extra space in the Arena is a great addition. Well Done Monopoly team, we'll be back.
