Wanted to buy a Lelit Elizabeth espresso machine and found it at a much cheaper price on the Coffeefriend website once I’d subscribed to their emails. Have to say I felt a bit unsure reading some of the previous reviews which talked about machines not being UK spec. Emailed Coffeefriend to ask this and received a response within a couple of hours confirming they sell UK spec machines and that the team member would personally make doubly sure for my order. So I went ahead and placed the order. Machine arrived 24 hours later (no charge made for delivery) by Royal Mail, not the usual el cheapo and unreliable Evri/Yodel etc. arrived in perfect condition. Then made use of a £50 voucher that came with the machine to order some accessories. Didn’t choose the fastest delivery option but once again they arrived very rapidly by Royal Mail. Haven’t yet had to test their after-sales support but thus far my experience with them has been outstanding. The only slight negative is that they do send out an absolute torrent of promotional emails. But these often include discount codes so that might be a plus for some people. Easy to unsubscribe in any case. I’d throughly recommend purchasing from this company based on my experience.
Don't buy anything unless you're certain of it. I recently bought 2 items, one for myself and another as a gift. In the event, I decided to return the gift as in person it wasn't quite what I was looking for. When attempting to return it was highlighted it would cost double the postage to return it at £10 which is poor given the short return window of 14 days and a policy I have not seen with any other company in recent memory. I wouldn't bother shopping here again.
I had to wait 3 weeks for my order to arrive and that’s after so many phone calls chasing what was happening with it.
Ordered, using PayPal due to the cost of the Lelit Bianca - had confirmation of payment complete, order confirmation - great. Email the next day stating I had not paid, called as I can prove I had. Was told it was my issue, I should contact PayPal - did that, was categorically told that my payment was successful. Called the company back they said they would investigate and get back to me… no response… Responded to the email multiple times with evidence, no response. Via email I asked to cancel and refund the order, again no response. Called back company again - who again told me this was my fault - so I have cancelled my order. Fine - now I’m waiting for my funds to be returned - which PayPal have told me is within their power - but hey, 5 days and I’ll raise a dispute per guidance. Awful service, opaque information, and judging by the more recent comments - looks like they are having problems
Similar to Mr J M H experience ordered Nespresso Essenza Mini coffee pod machine on 6th July , received email confirming payment has been confirmed, and ordered would be prepared/shipped right away. On tracking it looks like order is still being prepared and not even out to courier yet, this is 18th July! This is reason for 1 star, I would not recommend this company.
So, having ordered my new Eureka Mignon Zero coffee grinder on 9th July, I received an email thanking me for the purchase & assuring me the order was being processed immediately (order no003248463) It is now 17/July & no sign of my grinder. The tracking says “order received” . It hasn’t been sorted, packed or posted let alone arrived with me. Coffee friend has responded by asking me for the order number! You should have the number it is attached to my email address. Why am I doing your job for you? Very frustrating. From my personal point of view, I will not be recommending coffee friend to anybody & will if asked tell of my dissatisfaction. PLEASE SEND ME MY GRINDER! Or refund my money.
Sent me a coffee machine but the fact it had a euro plug was buried away two clicks in on the advert. They think this is acceptable, I do not but that's a matter of opinion. Several emails back and forth, a return form not working, misleading terms of return which are not legal. They agreed to take the return and waive the £10 fee. They then STILL charge me the return fee. Dealing with this company is just too much like hard work.

Krups pixie Nespresso. Excellent pod machine. Replacement for old model which had been leaking. Good price at Coffee friend but not uk spec. Came with European plug but supplied with adapter. No instructions in English - although these are available on line. Slow delivery - but understandable if ships from Europe.
Having never used the Coffee Friend website before, I ordered a new coffee machine recently. I expected to encounter problems, considering various other UK companies have recently either refused to ship to Northern Ireland or have accepted orders before ultimately cancelling them (thanks, Brexit). The order not only arrived in good condition, but it was delivered in around four days. (Ordered late on Thursday ~10pm, arrived at lunchtime on the Monday). Considering two of those days were over a weekend and one of the other days was a local public holiday, I was quite pleased with this. The coffee machine itself is great. I thought it might be faulty but after a bit of practice I discovered it was simply a skill issue on my part (quite new to manual espresso machines). One minor thing to mention about the experience is that I kept receiving emails about items "in my basket" which were only items I had looked at, not actually added to the basket. I ended up unsubscribing to email notifications because of this. Not really a big deal. Overall, very impressed and would recommend.

Excellent service from coffee friend sales team, shame they let were let down by the delivery of the machine. Stated that delivery would be 3 to 5 days. Only to be delivered the very next day by Parcleforce who left it outside on the side of the house with no information posted though the letter box to inform me of the delivery and no delivery information sent from coffee friend either.Just as well I live in a safe area. FYI the tracking number was not recognised.

I tried to return a Stanley insulated drink bottle and was advised that they charge £9.90 for simply returning it. I do not believe this is legal under UK law. Please be aware of this before handing over your money
delivery took ages, your email updates were poor as they lacked any specific detail. You took my money in 3 working days but took over 2 weeks to deliver the product.
