Cigna Healthcare - Individual Expat Health Insurance Reviews

This is my third year with Cigna and I am very pleased to have switched from my old insurance company whose quotes reached sky-high prices. Since last year I have Ms. Sarah Ann Fagan as my account manger and she looks after me very efficiently. I have decided to reduce my health cover as out patient costs in Austria are not very high, Sarah Ann came back to me within a day and offered me a new quote.

Cigna is a cheating scam insurance company. I told them I wanted to start a month after I called them, and they promised they would not charge me or start the coverage, and then they started it right away and so I paid an extra month. Now a year later, I have been trying to cancel my insurance and they just ignore me. I sent them an email, no response. I chatted with them, their representative said there was an open case for cancelling so they couldn't do anything more. But then, I got a charge for August even though I had been clear several weeks before that I was cancelling and didn't authorize any further deductions. I have now sent another email and I have received no responses. They are ignoring me to collect their fees. Disgusting behavior while they make billions by refusing care and cheating people out of healthcare.

Doesnt work in Rotterdam. Im living in the netherlands and no doctor wants to treat me with this insurance. I cant find a huisart. I need support and nobody call me or replay my request. Mi policy number is: 950126411

Thank you to Morgan McGroarty for his help in sorting out a Policy for my student daughter in her year abroad at speed. Documents received soon afterwards. I like the fact that at least I can speak to a person and not go through some long online form which doesn't answer your questions or a Customer Service line that doesn't answer the phone. Best

This has been the easiest and best experience ever dealing with an insurance company. My initial enquiry received a call back within an hour. John Brownlie talked me through the different options and answered all my questions, he then ran through the application with me and within 48hrs I was set up. I would highly recommend Cigna. There customer service is excellent.

As happened last year as well, the initial renewal invoice from CIGNA was an abomination. I very high, unjustified increase landing without any proper communication or human touch. I reached out to my Platinum Account Representative Vasile Burduja who was again excellent. He addressed the issue in no time. His friendly and professional service stopped me from starting to transfer away from CIGNA. He deserves recognition and a pat on the back.

Yes I had made an initial call to inquire about an international insurance coverage for myself. Being totally ignorant of the whole subject William Bach spent the time and effort to, will call it to educate me in the subject of international insurance policies. William is extremely knowledgeable of this subject and was able to share his expertise with me so that I was able to make a determination on what type of policy would fit my needs. Poor William had to receive many calls from me and had to help me through the process step by step because on top of it I’m old and kind of computer illiterate. William was alway nice, patient and very considerate with me. I couldn’t ask for anyone better. William Bach in my opinion is a definite asset to the Cigna Management Team. He is definitely 100% committed to Cigna Insurance Co. and is proven to go beyond the 100 percent levels to achieve a very positive outcome for the company. Cigna Global Health was a huge help for me when I was living as an international student in Hungary for two years. I had emergency situations twice when I needed to see an ear, nose, and throat specialist. Cigna reimbursed me for a large portion of the costs of those visits. Moreover, they covered all of the medication I needed.

Morgan was great! Gave me all the options, tailored to my needs, and provided excellent customer service. Give him a raise!!!

Alex was very patient in answering all of my questions and providing information. He took the time to review the policy limitations and benefits. I really appreciated his professionalism and responsiveness.

The plans were extremely well explained by Jack Bradbury. Since we are not familiar with healthcare insurance and how to use it in France, this was vital for us to know what we were selecting. Jack explained the various plans and their costs to us in a comprehensive manner with great kindness and even fun. We feel that we understand what is covered and what is not covered quite well.

Sarah Ann Fagan was extremely helpful and responsive in getting me my policy documents quickly!
