Horrible customer service and a product that does not work. Received my key programmer and it failed to maintain connection. Called technical support at 2:45 Pacific Time - was told I need to speak with a Technical Team member and was put on hold...for 30 minutes (after they have closed for the day) after being on hold that long, I hung up. Called back the next day and spoke with "Cole". Cole told me they'd get an RMA and directions to return my defective unit immediately - that was 4 business days ago, no contact. Would DEFINITELY NOT do business with them and recommend stay clear.
They stepped and reimbursed me! Beware of this company their system killed all my remotes. I had to call a locksmith out which cost me $427. They said they would reimburse me for the locksmith charge. They have not and I have not heard from them so beware do not use this company
Car keys express cut me a key then told me to call this number when I got home and they would help me program the key remotely. The number they gave me wouldn't connect to anyone or even voice mail. When I saw the crooked employee at Costco in Garner she said I had to bring my car to them, said they didn't do it remotely. Basically she lied and the company stole my money.
i purchased a backup keyfob for my 2000 prelude from car keys express at the longmont, CO sam's club early February 2024. since older model fobs are not kept onboard the truck, so it was mailed to me ... when it arrived, i was very pleasantly surprised that the fob was a genuine Honda brand fob identical to my original one! i called the number on the order form to have the truck come to my house to program the fob with my prelude, and the truck came arrived on time just a few days later. the two techs quickly programmed the fob, which worked perfectly, and cost less than half of what a Honda dealer would have charged. the two techs were friendly and professional, and my experience with car keys express was excellent!
I purchased a vehicle and it only had one key. I was given Nathan’s name as a contact for Car Keys Express and was told he would get me a new key made at an affordable price. I emailed Nathan and after a few emails, he said he was out of the office and would be back in the office 12/28/23. I emailed him after he was supposed to have returned (1/2/24) and nothing. He never responded. Due to this, I would not use them. It’s unprofessional to ignore a potential customer. I’m not going to beg a company to take my hard earned money. The most egregious part is that he responded to me while he said he was out of the office but as soon as he was supposed to be back in the office, he ghosted me.
I'll try to be short. I'd say 3 yrs ago, in March, a few weeks before the "Covid Chaos & shut downs", I bought a used car from Cochran Kia @ Robinson. The dealer had ONLY 1 fob, and did NOT mention it, till I was signing last few papers. We are walking towards car and I see him handing me ONE fob. Huh? My car is keyless entry + push button start, so I don't use keys. Therefore, if I lost the ONLY fob, I was given, I am screwed. Kia dealer did tell me it was about $100. I didn't second guess him. It was such a a long day & I was getting a headache & I know, it's my fault but.. I wanted to go! VERY Pathetic, cuz he already had the sale, you know? Either way, I've been pushing my luck, for 3 years & didnt feel to lucky. For some reason, I just finally starting to research info on Kia fobs. I went to Kia parts & guy said it was $260 to buy fob & $290 to program it. I could buy it online, instead of Kia, so I can save a lil money, but I still needed to get it programmed at Kia. Or vice versa with prices. Basically, ONLY a few dollars shy of $600. Last week, I looked on Amazon & found a reputable car key dealer. Basically Amazon key guy said something to the effect that he didn't have exact model. Ugh. I then recruited my kid to help me & within ONE hour, NO joke. We had 3 fobs ordered & paid for & just waiting for confirmation date of appointment. WOW! Fast Fwd.. Dec 2023, I met Car Keys Express (key guy) in a parking lot and like 15-ish min, I'm done AND on my way home! Plus, I have an after market remote start and... NOPE, NO problems & NO b.s.. I'm VERY happy. All is good! The best part & the grand finale IS.. I got 2 fobs from Key Car Express, instead of ONLY 1, from Kia & STILL saved approx $200. Yep, So that's my story. Plus 1st time experience with Car Keys Express, wasn't chaotic nor aggrevating. I would try them 1st, before ANY else IF I ever need help again, in the future. All is 101% honest. G'luck to you!
While competitively priced, Lucas, at the Sam's Daytona Beach location, efficiently provided a quality replacement key and fob.
Quality service and quality product ! The technician was professional and the key worked perfectly. I couldn’t be more pleased. It cost me a fraction of what I would’ve paid at a dealership. I’m impressed !
Es una compañia in resposable no la recomiendo mejor ir al conseciorio para tener un resultado Profecional. no recomiendo Car Keys Express son in responsables
Purchased online with Car Key Express Universal EZ Installer for 2018 Ford Edge. Directions said to put key in backup slot inside center console. There is no backup slot inside center console. Need to take express and ez installer out of their name. Plus - no customer service outside of 8:30a-5:00p Monday through Friday. No help for the DIYer.
Terrible. I bought a replacement key from Car Keys Express for our Lexus just to have a spare...sent them the images they requested and then received the key. Inserting the key into our Lexus not only disabled the car, it also meant we had to have it towed to the dealership and then we were told that due to the damage that had been done, we'd need a whole new ignition switch AND a new set of keys. I reached out to Car Keys Express on several occasions sending them the bill from Lexus ($1,058.65) that clearly states that the replacement key we'd bought from them damaged the lock (Invoice stated "NEW KEY WAS CUT INCORRECTLY AND DAMAGED CAR'S IGNITION") but we never heard back. When I called I was told someone would get back to me but that also never happened. This left us with a newborn stranded in the cold on a February morning. Car Keys Express obviously could not care less. They never even returned the money for the key we sent them back let alone the $1,058.65 for the new ignition and keys.
Before going to Car Keys express I went to a dealer. I was told the key would cost 517 dollars and I would have to leave my car with them for 5 hours. I found Car Keys Express just my accident. I asked them how much would it cost for a new key just for the hell of it. They said quoted me 177 dollars. After paying inside the store the techs took about 10 min to make my key. Works Great! Great deal and no hassle. If you need a car key you need to check them out. Saved me a ton of money and time. Thanks Lewis and Donnell @Sheffield Sams Club
Was told it would take a few days to get the key I ordered and paid for upfront. After a week I checked the website and it said up to two weeks so I started calling their customer service on day 15. Hold time wasn't horrible but not good either. Nice enough and said someone would get back. No follow up so I called the next day and got the same customer service rep. Still no answer, then on day 18, I get an email that they were canceling my order and for me to go back to SAMS where I placed the order with the CKE tech to get my refund.
Was told I would receive my Smartkey in a week or less, took 3 weeks to receive. Once I received the key I was told to just call the local rep to have it programmed. Waited another 4-5 days for rep to contact me and drove 50 miles to meet him only to find that his computer could not connect to my vehicle. Going on 3 weeks and still haven't had the key programmed. Communication with CKE has been lousy. I would not recommend this company!
