We needed a key for our Mustang, quoted $800+ at a dealership. We met with the boys from Car Keys Express at Cosco in Red Deer. They were personable, located our vehicle easily and programmed the new keys in under 1/2 hour. Great service and courtesy for all of us. Well done!!

I like the service, it is a better price than any dealer for a quality product, the techs are professional. My complaint is with customer service, you must leave messages and someone will call you back, and will likely need to call another number and have to wait to be called back again. I purchased an extra remote early last year (Sam's Club parking lot) when I needed to use it last month all functions would work except the push button start. After explaining this to the 3rd person who called me back, and was told I needed my receipt (not what the tech said). I was told to call Sam's and if it was more than a year I was out of luck and could buy a new one. This week the tech was back I explained my issue to him he said the tech did not match the key to the pushbutton (first tech admitted he was not familiar with my vehicle) 5 minutes later it was fixed, your tech saved you from losing a customer.
Update: The day (the hour!) I submitted the original review below, they finally responded and sent a new key that I was able to pair with the car very easily. I am glad the product works and the company is not just a scam, but I am still bitter that it took me so many weeks, so many emails and reminders to get things sorted out. I ordered a programmer and a replacement key online with a photo of the original key. The key I received was cut right and opened the door, and that's the only good thing about my order. Pairing the key to the car was very cumbersome with lots of error messages that I had to figure out. After it was finally paired, the key stopped working reliably after a few weeks. Sometimes it would start the car, sometimes it would not. Then it just didn't work at all. I contacted the company using various customer service contact email addresses I found on their website but they did not work. I finally received a response after weeks of trying. When my problem was not solved, they just ghosted me. No more replies.
Kyle was on time, explained everything well, gave me some additional pointers about my keys and the price was on par with others. Definitely recommend Kyle and Car Keys Express.
Paid over $600 for two new remotes. Stopped working after 3 weeks. Central dispatcher put me in touch with my tech. Tech does not respond to requests for assistance.
Had them to make a key and it wouldn't unlock the doors. The only thing they had to say about it was to not lock my doors. Highly advise against buying from them. And their customer service is even worse.
After I paid and was promised they would make the key on-site in half an hour, they realized 30 minutes later they didn't actually have the right key for my car. They did not give me an option to cancel the order at that point. They said they would have to mail me the key and I would have to schedule a time to drive out and meet them once the key came in. When it arrived and I called, they said they will only be in town one day and I am gone. All the rep said when I told him I would be gone is "damn", call again next week. Still waiting to see what happens.
Waited home all morning for a truck that never came, with no call, voicemail, text or email update. Eventually chased and then told an hour later it'd be ... another hour. Gave up. The two stars (rather than one) is for the prompt refund. Doesn't feel like these guys prioritize customer service. I'll pay a little more and go to a Ford dealer.
Sold me a fob and programmer that were incompatible with my vehicle, left me on hold for more than an hour just trying to get an RMA number. You would think they would know this before accepting the order. Avoid.
After waiting 2+ years for my KIA dealership to get parts to replace my key fob (with spring loaded physical key), I stumbled over a Car Key Express booth at my local Costco. They assured me that they HAD the key fob needed & could replicate it while I shopped. It couldn't have been easier as they gave a card with a bar-code on it for paying when I checked out. When I exited, found their van they were about to test the key. It worked great!! The price was a good deal less than I was quoted 2 years ago. Bonus, there is a 3 year warranty!!! If you ever see a Car Key Express booth, run, don't walk to see Max & Michael... you won't be sorry!!!
I bought the keyfob programmer through car keys express over the phone through their website contact number. I told them my year make and model and they took my cc payment. When I got the programmer in the mail I scanned the qr code to get the app and set it up only to find out that this programmer only goes up to 2010 dodge ram. I told them I had a 2016. 2010 is not a compatible year for my 2016. But they got their money!!!
Bought the universal smart key trying to get a spare for my daughter’s car. Ended up erasing my only key. Now my key won’t start my car. I’ll be calling a lock smith tomorrow. Cost twice as much trying to save a buck. Oh yeah and their technical support is only open m-f and probably take lunch the same time you do. Not hopeful to get ahold of anyone to give a shit
Total scam. I was charged $343.94 for the technician to come to my apartment complex to make two spare keys. I then received a call from another tech who said to meet him at the dealership where he was doing some work. I went there expecting that the house call would be removed. When I checked the invoice, I was charged $160.00 for the tech to come to me, even though that didn't happen. I called Car Keys Express customer support and the person on the line yelled at me "That is how it is supposed to work"
The key works 1 out of 5 time i press the button. It was expensive for a cheap product. Be warned and do not purchase.
The service was exceptional. The agent found an error with the build date and key and made all the necessary changes to make me feel great as a customer. I highly recommend it. Easy service and easy people to work with.
Received Universal EZ Installer and key FOBs along with photo cut keys. Made 2 keys following instructions and all went well. Tested cut emergency keys and they worked perfectly. Would buy again in the future.
They suck. Lie. Wouldn’t accept a picture of my title. That I own my car! In the garage. Of my let’s just say million dollar home. Payed 600 bucks.
Ordered a key for my Explorer. Key came ready to go with a plug-in device to match it to my car. All went smooth and was super easy. Saved me a ton, Ford dealership wanted close to 500 bucks for this!
