Loss of water in BS20

Loss of water in BS20, updates vague and unhelpful on one of the hottest days of the year, especially for priority vulnerable customers. Complete lack of oversight and control of your network and resolving serious issues.

Jackie at Bristol Water on 3/7/2025 who answered the phone was absolutely fantastic in every way. I had a new water meter 1 week ago and I didn't really know how to read it properly to see how much my water usage was costing me etc Jackie who was very knowledgeable ,polite,helpful,and friendly ,explained everything I needed to know. I wish there were more people like Jackie answering the phones in other public services. Thank you Jackie

I called BW to see if they knew where…

I called BW to see if they knew where my late father’s water meters were. They kindly gave me the locations detailed by my father which were, frankly, not helpful. The lovely lady then agreed that she could send out someone to read the two meters for me in the next 10 working days. This has saved me a 200 mile round trip, so I am very grateful.

Call answered in one ring

Call answered in one ring ! My bill question was easily answered. Kind lady recalculated our water usage and our direct debit will now be a lot less. Very satisfied customer.

Utterly useless

Utterly useless. Rang the emergency line 3 times only to be put through to a message box request. In the meantime we have NO water and 4.children...

Fair play to Bristol water. No hose pipe ban. Clearly a trusted, honest company who have invested our money wisely over the past 30 years and hopefully will continue to do so

I had a question about my bill

I had a question about my bill. Started to dread the wait and if the line would be open… pressed the call button, one ring and ‘hello my name is Paul…’. A real person immediately! Fantastic! Questions answered in less than 2 mins. Well done!

Prompt and responsive, excellent customer service and care

Just wanted to pass on our thanks to the team at Bristol Water, who helped us reconnect our water loss at 11pm last night (no fault of Bristol Water). The emergency line was prompt and the handler gave us triage support and suggestions and stayed on the line to confirm actions. We then had a visit (from I think Nick?), within the hour, who found the fault on the water line leading into the property and restored the water. We are very grateful for their prompt and supportive response. Excellent service.

An exemplary company

I just want to say that whenever I contact Bristol Water, I don't have to go through various options on the phone. They answer the phone promptly, are friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. For me they are the best utility company to deal with, I've never had a problem.

Delightful to deal with as usual !

Phoned to give final meter reading for my business which we have had to close down due to serious illness of my partner. Been a very stressful time and having serious issues with Energy Companies. However, phoning Bristol Water billing to give a final reading and sort out the account was a delight. JENNY who took my call was bright and cheerful, even late in the afternoon. She made me feel valued and dealt with the enquiry really efficiently. The last week has been a very emotional time closing the family business after 25 years and JENNY'S comments made me feel so much better. I always find dealing with the accounts department at this company a simple delight as they all seem to enjoy their jobs. Someone somewhere higher up the pecking order is clearly doing the right thing and encouraging staff. A shame so many other companies cant take a leaf from BW's book!!!

Outstanding

Water stopped at 9.15pm. Called Bristol Water at 9.50pm. Specialist attended, identified the problem and fixed it by 11.15pm. Outstanding customer service and really lovely people. Well done Bristol Water! 👏
