Argus Car Hire

Wir haben über die Plattform Billiger-Mietwagen von Argus-Car-Hire einen Wagen in Florenz gebucht, diesen sollten wir bei Europcar abholen. Vor Ort wurde uns dann gesagt das dieser Wagen nicht zur Verfügung steht und es nur einen Vergleichbaren geben würden. Leider war dieser "Vergleichbare" Wagen dann mehr als das doppelte teurer als der ursprünglich gebuchte Wagen über die Börse. Da wir im Ausland mit 2 Kindern an Board leider keine große Wahl hatten mussten wir zunächst den Wagen unter den gegebene Umständen nehmen. Nach einigen Telefonaten und vielen Mails mit Billiger-Mietwagen.de später ist uns leider weder eine Erklärung, geschweige denn eine Rückzahlung von entstanden Mehrkosten angeboten worden - Was man nach über 2 Monaten eigentlich hätte erwarten können. Doch leider kam nichts ! Mein Fazit: Nie wieder über eine dubiose Internet-Plattform mit NULL Service buchen, lieber direkt vor Ort mit einer Auto-Vermietung sprechen, dann weiß man was man für sein Geld bekommt.

Everything went smoothly at uplift and return. Car was clean and suitable for our journey.

Very simple process from booking to collection - opted for zero excess rental which increased the price but that was my own choice. Speedy service when picking up the key and finding the car. Only delay was getting Apple car play working but again that was a me problem!

Wir hatten für Washington DC einen Mietwagen der Premium-Klasse (Chevrolet Impala) gebucht und einen der oberen Mittelklasse (Chevrolet Malibu) bekommen. Bei der anschließenden Reklamation wurde uns das als Upgrade dargestellt. Bei so einem unkompetentem Mietwagenvermittler werde ich nie wieder buchen.

Neues Fahrzeug, schnelle Beziehung und dazu noch ein Upgrade, alles bestens und immer wieder.

I wrote a review about how Argus would not support us when we hired a car. Again, when the company they subcontracted to in Romania where cheating us they refused to give us our money back and said we would have to put in a complaint that may or may not end in a refund. Then when we paid a non-refundable 1,000 pounds they lied and said we signed a contract when we did not sign anything. Finally, Argus wrote to me saying "These requirements were given to you before selecting the car on our website . .." This is also a lie no where did they say they would take our credit cards to take 1000 pounds of non-refundable insurance but would not take our credit card for a refundable deposit if the credit card is not embossed. No where do they state we needed an embossed credit card. And in fact they even admitted as much when they talked to us during an online exchange where they said they asked their associates not to make such insane conditions. They do not value their customers, do not side with their customers even when their customers have been blatantly cheated.

Hallo zusammen, ich hatte jetzt für 10 Tage ein Mietauto von Ihnen. Zuerst – das Auto war sehr gut. Die Abwicklung vorab online ok. Jedoch Ihr Kundenservice ist eine totale Katastrophe. Da meine Maschine am Einreisetag erst um 22:30 gelandet ist habe ich probiert über Email ( Antwort 1 Woche später) über Whats App Service ( keine Reaktion) und zuletzt über die angegebene Telefonnummer (es lief ein Band) versucht Sie darüber zu informieren das ich 23:00 Abholzeit überschreiten werde. Da das auf allen Kanälen komplett nicht möglich war – liess ich meine Kinder zurück am Kofferband um den Shuttle Bus zu erwischen. So kam ich nachts erst an in der Aussenstelle. Dort musste ich erstmal 45 Minuten warten. Ich habe bei Buchung zwei Versicherungen abgeschlossen. Und war somit versorgt. Ihr Mitarbeiter hat mich jedoch genötigt eine dritte Versicherung abzuschliessen und hat mir regelrecht Angst gemacht wenn ich das nicht tue. Übel. Da ich alleine war und verunsichert bin ich darauf eingegangen. Jetzt im Nachgang ärgert es mich masslos, da diese 3. Absicherung nicht nötig war. Meine emails dazu wurden bis heute ignoriert Was schlagen Sie vor?

I booked car hire online with Argus Car Hire for arrival 2300 in Madrid and gave my flight number. My flight arrived on time and I followed the directions to the waiting area for the Car Hire shuttle bus. After 30 minutes of waiting, I called the booking number and got no answer. I then contacted Argus Car Hire Premium, which has cost me extra, and they informed me that the office closed at 2259. As I was attending a funeral, I had to book an Uber. At no time during the booking was I informed that the Car Hire would be closed before I arrived at the airport. I tried to make a complaint to Argus Car Hire by phoning them and to hopefully recover some of my losses. They sent me an email to manage my booking but nowhere to complain or deal with my issues. I did this twice, and still no way to complain. I then emailed the company using the email address on their website, and I got a return email stating that the email was not being monitored. I am at a loss for the car hire and have no way to deal with anyone who can assist; hence, I am doing this review. Hopefully, they might contact me. Further to the reply you sent on Trust Pilot I emailed again twice and still no reply from Argus Car Hire.
