    Additional unexplained charges added $163.85. Car pick up area appeared to have shared staff as we couldn't find dollar staff in this area. 14/9/2024 All requested documents sent to Argus as requested, now await investigation findings.

    I really liked the service i was…

    Took the shine off our holiday

    The reply received below is just more demonstration of how totally inadequate this company is. They clearly have not read the review as it was nothing to do with the pick up. My review is about the after care service we have received from Argus when the vehicle their supplier provides is not fit for purpose. I have given it one star as the ease of booking was good. Once you have booked through Argus Car Hire they hand you over to GoldCar who are next to useless. Unfortunately the car we hired through Argus, whom my contract was with, was not fit for purpose and broke down. The GoldCar tow company were good and collected the vehicle as they said they would, however that is where the service ended. A month on and GoldCar have taken money off my credit card – for what we do not know as I have not received any communication or final invoice/bill and Argus who “understand my frustration” are still investigating what happened. This investigation supposedly takes 20 working days. We are now on working day 27. The car broke down and was towed to the garage and there was a mechanical fault. I’m not sure why this has taken so long to investigate. I knew these facts two days after it broke down. As for the fact GoldCar have taken money from my card without providing any invoice/final bill – Argus confirm this should not have happened, I am unable to claim it through the extended insurance I took out when I booked with Argus, as they need an invoice for what the money was for and Argus agree that my credit card company blocking GoldCar from taking any further payments is a good idea. Argus still do not understand that as I booked through them and they effectively contracted out to GoldCar they have some liability. I’m not sure whether the person understood the term due diligence when I asked what procedures they go through to partner with suppliers. They seemed to think I should be more appreciative that they are going "to do their best" to resolve my issue. Please do not use either Argus Car Rental or GoldCar directly.

    Reserva de aluguer de viatura paga duas vezes

    Fiz uma reserva de aluguer de viatura na plataforma desta empresa. Ficou tudo tratado e sempre foram atenciosos nas dúvidas que tinha, no entanto no dia que ía buscar a viatura o meu voo foi cancelado e eu tive o cuidado de estar constantemente a informar esta empresa da situação do meu voo e na impossibilidade de ir buscar a viatura à hora marcada. Trocamos várias mensagens pelo WhatsApp e inclusive falámos com os seus colaboradores ao telefone e em momento algum disseram que a reserva que eu já tinha pago ía ser cancelada e ía perder o valor que tinha pago pelo aluguer. Disseram sempre para não me preocupar porque não perdia a minha reserva. Só consegui novo voo no dia seguinte e esta empresa foi devidamente informada sobre isso. Quando fui buscar o carro que tinha reservado, o parceiro deles "DRIVÁLIA-RENTA CAR", disse que a minha reserva estava cancelada e que tinha de fazer nova reserva e fazer outro pagamento do aluguer. Quando sou confrontada com esta situação contato novamente com a ARGUS CAR e pergunto como posso resolver esta situação. A ARGUS CAR disse na altura para eu pagar a nova reserva e depois pedir o reembolso através de uma reclamação à ARGUS CAR HIRE, que foi o que fiz. Espanto meu quando esta empresa diz que não pode fazer nada e sito abaixo a resposta da empresa à minha reclamação: "Revisei este caso novamente, incluindo seu feedback mais recente. No entanto, devo confirmar que nossa posição sobre o assunto permanece inalterada. Entendo sua frustração, pois você não pôde usar o aluguel de carro devido ao cancelamento do voo. Gostaria de me desculpar sinceramente pela situação e pelo estresse que isso pode ter causado a você. Por favor, note que o carro foi mantido pelo tempo combinado na sua reserva. Portanto, temo que não há muito que possamos fazer da nossa parte. Gostaria de enfatizar que sempre nos esforçaremos para chegar a uma solução que esteja de acordo com os Termos e Condições do seu contrato de locação. Portanto, acredito que você entenderá que não podemos prosseguir com seu caso nesta ocasião. Se você não estiver satisfeito com a resolução do seu caso, recomendamos que entre em contato com sua seguradora de viagem para buscar indenização. Atenciosamente, Aya Equipe de Atendimento ao Cliente." Não aconselho de todo a trabalharem com esta empresa que mentem ao seu cliente e tem o descaramento de dizer que não pode fazer nada...esta empresa devia de ser punida e obrigada a pagar indeminizações aos clientes que lesa. Não é aceitável que os funcionários não alertem o cliente para a possibilidade de perder o aluguer no caso de chegar atrasado, quando a empresa foi informada a todo o minuto do que se estava a passar e não nos informaram nada que podíamos perder o aluguer do carro e ter de pagar novamente um novo aluguer. A vossa empresa é uma FRAUDE. A vossa obrigação é informar o cliente das consequências se não chegarmos a tempo para levantar o carro. Mentiram descaradamente.

    Argus Car Hire system - poor suppliers

    Argus Car Hire is very efficient - good offers etc. However, we received a car from Surprise supplier. The treatment on car return was awful: received car was different type from ordered. rude, lazy, insolent when returning the car. few members of staff speak English. others just shout something in Italian waving hands at you. The overall give you feeling of being pushed around - no friendly at all. when returning to airport the van driver took us about 500 meters down the street then throw us out pointing to the beginning of 20 minutes walk towards the terminal. we had to push 3 pieces of heavy luggage down the tunnel, uneven pavements to terminal building. we have seen other vans delivering passengers to the terminal so it was possible.

    TRUFFATORI

    Non posso mettere zero stelle o valori negativi ma assolutamente vi dico NON PRENOTATE da questa compagnia sono solo truffatori. Dopo aver pagato fior di soldi la mia prenotazione a una settimana dalla partenza inizio a mettere le carte in ordine e cerco di capire per bene tutte le clausole del noleggio. Non capivo bene la franchigia così facendo un giro sul web scopro che le recensioni sono pessime e che tutti vengono spesso truffati per cui decido (visto che ero nei termini per la cancellazione con rimborso totale) di cancellare e scegliere altra compagnia. Mi arriva anche una mail di conferma in cui mi dicono che avrei ricevuto rimborso in 5 gg. Passano i giorni e nulla… contatto il servizio clienti ( che non ha contatti sul sito per cui ho dovuto cercare sempre nelle recensioni qualche indizio) e mi rispondo che avendo pagato con PayPal sei mesi prima loro non hanno più i miei dati per emettere rimborso 👀👀 Inizia quindi un’infinità di mail sempre con quel tono del caxxo “ci scusiamo sappiamo che lei è frustrato dalla situazione” roba da matti….abbiamo aperto una segnalazione bla bla bla fatto sta che dopo avermi chiesto i dati bancari sono scomparsi e non rispondo più alle mail …. Ovviamente del mio rimborso nemmeno l’ombra … e mi tocca mettere in mezzo l’avvocato per vedere rispettati i miei diritti.. roba da matti Aggiornamento al 19/09 Mi hanno risposto una settimana fa dicendo che avrei ricevuto il rimborso pari a 200.05€ (peccato che io ne ho pagati 272.05€). Ho scritto chiedendo perché la cifra fosse stata decurtata… nessuna risposta e nessun rimborso…pessimi davvero!

    AVOID

    AVOID - I had to amend the booking before hirer would release the car. Argus wouldn't do this as I was past my collection time, despite this being down to a delayed flight and out of my control. This left me stranded at the airport at 1am and the wont issue a refund. The system seems designed to let you down at their profit.
