Argus Car Hire

Rented from Salzburg for a week, with the car provided by U-Save, who are a new company based in Macedonia who are renting out cars which are not in demand in their home markets during the winter. Good price, excellent car in good condition, but the "meet & greet" service actually means you call them, they send a driver to pick you up in the car that you'll be renting (so no luggage transfer needed) which could take 10-15 minutes, and on return you have to find their office a mile from the airport and then wait for the car to be checked in and then a driver found to take you back to the airport in the same car. In my case, I almost missed my flight because this took 35 minutes as they were very busy and understaffed. On-airport return takes 5 minutes - but is usually just a key drop, so there's no confirmation of vehicle state on return and I've had issues in the past with damage being found on the car long after I've departed. The cars were all registered in Bulgaria or Macedonia - no legal issues in Austria, and they had winter tyres as required by Austrian law, but it looks odd. Otherwise no concerns, and the online checkin service worked well.

Do not use Argus Car Rental Company! They are a scam. They charged my credit card for the car hire however when I could not rent the car as I was not informed that an international driver's license was required they would not refund me. They provide no service whatsoever, book directly with the car company.

Purtroppo l'aereo è arrivato tardi e nonostante avessi avvisato, non ci hanno aspettato. Il mattino seguente all'orario di apertura non ci hanno potuto consegnare la macchina in quanto il mancato ritiro la sera prima è considerato annullamento da parte del Cliente con perdita della totalità del pagamento.

Be very carefully. The insurance they push is not valid with the actual car rental agencies. Their car categories are not clear at all. I booked a Corsa and similar - B class car and got served KIA Picanto. When I raised it they said it is not the same class but to come back when the rental is over as they cannot help due to me taking the car. And then, when I re-raised it - they coldly say - yap, that's the same car class - it is not, and that is not some subjective feeling or a terminology thing - that is the actual car classification thing. Avoid at all cost, not worth it at all

Achtung dieses Unternehmen betrügt seine Kunden mit nicht vorhadenen Schäden ( Man sollte von allem und wirklich allem Fotos bei der Abgabe machen ) sprich den Zustand Dokumentieren auch wenn kein Schaden vorhanden ist. Einschließlich Innenraum in allen einzelheiten.

I pre paid for a rental car. When i showed up to the counter i was barely even looked in the eye and told they had no more cars. When i asked what i was supposed to do, they told me to take it up with the 3rd party company I rented through, which was this company. I started a claim with them. They said they would investigate. 25 days later they wrote me and said that they wouldn't give me a refund because they contacted actual car rental company, who said they DID have cars available. Which is not true at all. So i paid $216 for a car and received no car or refund. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM! Since i cannot reply to the response from the company, i am editing this review.. The response Below is totally bogus. You are not still investigating this claim, you have already written me to say you won't give me a refund because the rental car company told you that they had cars available.. Which they did NOT. which is why i have a receipt for $900 because i had to walk over to the Hertz rental car counter and rent a car on the spot for $900. Why would i rent a car for $900 at the exact same date and time that i had a car reserved through you for $216? Do you think i preferred to pay $900 for a car instead of $216? Or do you think it's because, they had no car for me? If you want make things right, give me the $216 back that i pre paid for a vehicle, but never received. It's really that simple. I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS 3RD PARTY CAR RENTAL COMPANY. THEY LITERALLY STOLE MY MONEY.

Booked a hire car from Firefly using Argus car hire and was very impressed with the service received from both. The car was in excellent condition and rental cost was good value. The staff at the Hertz/ Firefly desk were really helpful and the 'standard' online help from Argus was brilliant too. I would definitely use them again.

The website was easy to use and offered much better value that other sites. The whole process from pick up to returning the vehicle ran very smoothly. I didn't encounter any problems.

Katastrophe! Buchung via Check24. Bei der Abholung am Schalter hat man uns dazu gedrängt eine weitere Versicherung abzuschließen sonst wäre die Buchung via Check24 nicht gültig. Zusätzlich wurden 150€ als Kaution für das Tanken belastet. Trotz eingereichter Tankquittungen wurden die 150€ nie ausgeglichen. Es steckt eine Betrugsmasche dahinter. Nie wieder! Absolute Vorsicht!
