I would not suggest going here at all, I bought furniture from them back in 2015 they asked if I wanted the warranty and of course I said yes because they said it covered everything you could think of, so why not. after a few months my couches started to break down and my coffee table started to look like crap. So I called the store asking what I needed to do. They said ( the GM at the time I believe his name was Tim ) send him an email with pictures as I did, 2 months later no word back, I then spoke to Carlos another manager there. After another month of calls they finally broke down and gave me an in store credit because claims wasnt answering them. Mind you I had even called the District at the time as well. a couple years past I was in a very bad place and couldnt claim my credit, because they wanted 75 dollars to deliver it which I didnt have. when I finally went in for it, they had nothing on my file at all and made me resend in my claim to someone else. I did so and low and behold I WAS DENIED BECAUSE IT WAS PAST THE 30 DAYS they claim I was suppose to report it, I told them I did report it and told them the whole story and still it was a NO!!! So people I am telling you its a SCAM to get extra money out of your pockets, I was told I could file when ever as well do not trust them and do not get the warranty because the furniture will break down in 4 months or less anyways. So not worth it at all to buy from there
They sold me furniture and said they would come and put my furniture together eventho the contract says they are not obligated...but he said he would put my bed together. So 1week turned into 4weeks.....4 weeks turned into 8weeks...so finally they sent me someone that came and didn't know what he was doing and put my bed together wrong. It was bad. They promised again they would come and make it right, they kept saying they would come and never showed up again....I ended up going to store mad as hell, Picking Up A Worker in my own car, bringing him to my house and he couldn't put the bed together either, it was too much, the previous guy screwed up so bad it couldn't be fixed. He put a bedframe up for me and that was cool. You can't get a refund, so they agreed to replace my bed. Ok. How long would that take? I didn't have the energy or time to go back and forth with these people again for 2 more months... I refused. I will NEVER go back to do business with American Freight Furniture again.
Very sketchy business, they don’t outline the payoff process, you don’t get any documentation indicating you have a warranty. The couch is nice but it took 3 months to get the matching ottoman, had to pick it up myself or be charged an additional 45$ on top of the original 75$ for delivery. They didn’t call me to update on the status, had to call them once a week and was met with attitude. They took 50$ off the bill after I complained, the second time they asked if I simply wanted to remove it from the order all together.....umm no. Once I picked up the ottoman I had to assemble the legs myself and it stands taller than the couch which is awkward, I never would have gotten this set if I would have known, the ottoman on display was slightly different. The staff was ok and the finance process is easy and you are automatically approved, they do a hard pull on your credit score which the employee told me they didnt. All in all it is ok to help fix credit, but have most of the money up front unless you can pay it off in 3 months.
This is the worst place i have ever bought anything from i purchase a mattress and sectional from them which total 1,600 the lady told me that i could pay extra and if i paid it off by January i wouldn't be charge interest that meant i only had 4 months to pay it off when i didn't pay it off i the little amount of time the charge me 65% interest no one told me the interest would me that high so over all im paying 5,000.00 in for at mattress and sectional that was never worth it i contact the better business bureau because i feel this one something that need to be explain at the time of purchase and the failed to educate there customers on how there financing worked i see there are many bad reviews on this company if and posting all the review from these page to Facebook to let people know the place is a scamming people out there money and i hope when i contact the better business bureau the get hit with hard a the close this place down Fraud Fraud Fraud company
Was told i was going to get box springs have not gotten them as of yet have been waiting for 2 days i have been inconvenienced now got to pay extra for someone to put bed together will never purchase again from american freight
Just bought a 550.00 dollar queen mattress and box spring today. After reading all these reviews I wish I had not I am afraid it won’t last at all. Guy said a 10 year warranty I got no paper work on that at all. Once home as we had tie them on top of truck the box spring has a cut or rip on the material and we never even touched it yet still on top of truck. The guy added without asking me a 70 dollar mattress cover to my bill . I said hey I told you I had. A mattress cover already what’s this . He says oh here’s your mattress cover . I made him take it off the bill . How unethical is that. I will call tomorrow and tell them about the ripped box spring which btw I can tell the box spring is crap. The mattress is memory foam don’t know if it will last or not. Plus I looked on line and we were suppose to get 30% off for the July 4th holiday sale the guy never mentioned it or gave it to us . I don’t have money to waste I am on disability . This is so wrong to try to put stuff on people’s billing without even asking if they want it. Then no warranty papers at all nothing . The paper that came with the mattress says look at tag on it to see when warranty starts and ends well for one there is nothing and two how the heck do you get a warranty like that . So dishonest
I recently bought a bed and sofa from the store on 51st ave and Bell rd Phoenix. Both of them felt comfortable in the store. But when we got them home it is a different story. I am chalking the sofa up to it being a recliner so it is a little stiff. But as for the bed. We tried to 4 or 5 times in the store. It was comfortable. It is a memory foam so it is supposed to adjust with you. The one in the store did. The one we received did not. It is like sleeping on a brick.i went back to the store. The assistant manager had me try it again. It was nice in store. His name was Ricky. He said if I came back on Wednesday the manager would be there and exchange it for me. With the cost difference. Supposely softer ones cost more. He lied to me to get me out of the store. The manager would not return it. The assistant manager said we probably have bed bugs so they don't return mattresses. But would make an exception for us. It took me an hour to get to the store from work. Ricky is a liar. He should be fired. They also should inform customers that when you buy a sofa or bed it will be harder than the ones on display so we can adjust our choice. Had we known that we would of chose a softer mattress. I have been buying beds for 50 years never had a problem. Beware of that store. I would never shop there again. They are dishonest. They are not interested in the customers just the money.
I buy a living room set and I lost my money. The dining table had a bad condition,and my son's room furniture set, the second day of buying it broke. I do not buy here again.
We have had our sofa and loveseat for one week. It is already falling apart!! $1300 may not be a lot of money to some but it is to me! Don't waste your time or money here. They should advertise their items are seconds. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.
The day my furniture came I received pillows I did not choose.
i have a delivery scheduled for the 28th but i am going to cancel too much bad reviews wish i had read this before paying the 50 something that i paid but i will take that loss

Its been 1 month. NO FURNITURE. Your corporatae office region managers don't return calls. No one has any answers. This is the worst customer service ever. The store says they don't have a tracking system to see ehere my furniture is. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN. I am tired of the run-around. So if anyone reads reviews, don't go there!
I had a warranty claim at the Lexington Ky store Nathan and Chris were very helpful with this they went above and beyond to get my replacement great place they are there to help you as soon as you come through the door will definitely shop there again
DO NOT BUY/LEASE/RENT TO OWN FROM HERE!! They will lie!! I put $208 down and have a reciept for it and they have supposedly habe “no record” and wont look at my bank statement that shows they took my money!! They dont tell you about the 101 buy out. They are scammers!!!! Dont let them fool you!! Their online finance is always messed up and will have incorrect balances!!!
I purchased my daughter a bedroom set back in February 2019. Paid cash over $800.00. I had delivery for the next day. All items came except for the headboard and mirror to the dresser. The saleswomen told me it would be there in couple weeks it never came. So I called back in couple weeks and told me they were waiting on the order. So time has passed and it is now 5/21/2019. So I called them today and asked I been patiently waiting. They claim I received all of the pieces which I did not. I’m still waiting for them to call me back. I want my money back for those two pieces. I do not recommend anyone to shop there.
Overall the experience was good. The delivery, setup and removal was timely - as scheduled, My issue was with the conflicting information given to me by the salesperson, Sam, regarding the additional warranty purchased for my selection. Sam told me that information for the warranty would come to via email. After waiting several weeks, I contacted American Freight Furniture and Mattress asking for Sam and was told by the employee that Sam would not available for sometime. I explained my concern and was told that no information would come via email and hung up. To this date I have not received ANYTHING - not a clear understanding about the ADDITIONAL WARRANTY - BE AWARE. I hope this is an isolated incident.
Got run around on a $2000 product. Told a few different stories. They told me by the 20th of May. Called to see if it was ready and was told by the end of June. Never even received a phone call. Went to cancel and at first they tried to keep me as a customer. Was told they will call me back with a delivery date by the end of that day. Never heard from them. Called back the next day to cancel. Didn’t try to keep me at all that day. Just not very good customer service at all. Won’t be back for sure. Will pass our experience on to everyone we can.
