Amber electric have upped my usage charge by 3 times my original costing. Doubling my previous bill. I work full time hardly home with 2 people in the house. When asked why it is so high. They said I used more that month. Not double the amount. I will not use them again it recommend them.

The best electricity retailer I have had for 20 years

This is a great company if you use lots of electricity. They give you warnings when the price is expensive so you can cut back your usage.The rest of the day your power is less then half the price of other power companies.As they price power on how much the are charged,not what they can get away with like other companies.They also send you details in the beginning of each season on their maximum charge related to peak pricing.They also have an app that shows how much power you are using at anytime and how much solar is going back into the grid. When you have any questions they get back to you quickly. Amber is the best electricity supplier I have had in the last 20 years.

Outstanding product

Outstanding product. We get our electricity at cheaper price and best of all get great export prices. Customer service has been amazing, explaining each questions answer clearly with the assistance to talk us through what we needed to do. Well done guys

A breath of fresh air

A breath of fresh air, with a company that is allowing solar and battery installers to be rewarded for their investment. Other companies, have reduced solar input to 3 cents per kw, an insult. Looking forward to a mutually rewarding experience, where we are rewarded for our investment.

This service is not for those living in…

This service is not for those living in SA that have large solar systems. You will pay for the privilege of uploading / exporting your solar to the grid instead of getting a feedin Tariff you pay a fee to feed in. On sunny days where there is too much solar you will be worse off. Sorry guys this business model is currently flawed.

It's so EASY and is saving me $$$$$

Really easy set up and the APP is great. Personally i love seeing the constantly updated costs and therefore i can manage my bills! Also love not being stuck with the big retailers and all their "discounts" GO AMBER!!!!

I joined amber a few months ago and…

I joined amber a few months ago and whilst my first bill was slightly cheaper, it has been far from smooth sailing. Their quoted time frame for the installation of the smart meter was on the optimistic side. Upon the eventual installation of the meter, it did not work as expected. After a period, they arranged for the meter to be replaced (again dragged out). It turns out that the meter room at our units will not allow a wifi signal out. Not Ambers fault, but I have heard nothing from them since, despite being promised contact post the technician attendance at my property back in July. I think the old adage that ‘you get what you pay for’ has that distinct ring of truth.

Save $$$ while helping the environment It’s a win-win

Switching to Amber has been the best choice for power I have made EVER! I love that I’m getting 💯% carbon-neutral power and by opting for the 💯% Greenpower option I know we’re doing our part for the environment. Thanks Amber for offering the 💯% Greenpower option so much cheaper than the bigger retailers.

It's been a hard slog in QLD but improving...

So far it's been all a bit hard up here in QLD. After sign up, it took ages for changeover from AGL (I got an apology), then after a heap more time they eventually arranged a company to install a new smart meter. Then the installer decided that it was too difficult in our old meter box though I don't think he tried very hard (not Amber's fault). Anyway, I then went to the expense of having a new meter box installed as part of a solar upgrade and I now I can not get Amber to arrange the new meter install. Email, Facebook, phone it seems it takes 48 hours per interaction. We finally got there, and I added a star because now we have all the bits in place, the app and ability to track our power usage is great.

Amazing experience with Amber

Amazing experience. I switched to Amber when I started working from home and it's saved me from the bill shock I would otherwise have experienced in using nearly 4x more home energy, since I'm paying basically half the price per unit I was. Amber are also great to deal with, open and transparent. Switching was super easy too. Highly recommend.

Great prices and communication

Switched to Amber after listening to a presentation by startups in Victoria. Great prices (I've cut my bills around 40% vs. my previous retailer), honest and timely communication and an app that continues to improve. Quite happy, would definitely recommend.
