I joined amber a few months ago and whilst my first bill was slightly cheaper, it has been far from smooth sailing. Their quoted time frame for the installation of the smart meter was on the optimistic side. Upon the eventual installation of the meter, it did not work as expected. After a period, they arranged for the meter to be replaced (again dragged out). It turns out that the meter room at our units will not allow a wifi signal out. Not Ambers fault, but I have heard nothing from them since, despite being promised contact post the technician attendance at my property back in July. I think the old adage that ‘you get what you pay for’ has that distinct ring of truth.
