Excellent sign up process… get a bill via email every month and I’m on direct debit. No reason to leave. Their new app is good too and shows me my daily usage
If you have another provider option, I suggest you actively investigate as our experience with Alinta has been that staff are grossly incompetant ( they have finally admitted fault). We have been long term customers and Alinta through their total inability to manage simple administrative issues have cost us ten of thousands of dollars in increased costs. They stringed us along for multiple months and have just offered a tiny laughable token compensation once the Energy ombudsmen got involved. What a joke when the directors were awarded a 40 percent pay rise recently! This is a Chinese owned company. They say in business that a dissatisfied customer experience is costly. I will now make it my mission to ensure others are aware of this company's actions, attidude and despicable treatment of loyal customers and encourage people to seek a fairer option.
Easy process
WORST customer service ever!! If I could give a score of zero I would. I’ve been overseas for 7 weeks so my gas bill was far too expensive. I couldn’t send in a picture of my meter, a technician had to be booked to come out and I was told the fee would be waived as the previous appointment, no one had showed up to (as I took the day off work this was super upsetting). The rep told me I had to call Jemena the day before to get a timeframe, Jemena told me the girl who booked the appointment at Alinta was supposed to do this so I had no appointment time. When I called back Alinta to cancel as I needed to go into work and couldn’t wait around from 7.30am to 5.30pm for a meter reader who may or may not show up, I was charged twice for the appointment and sent an $85 bill for an apartment for a total of 3 weeks. Do not waste your time or get ripped off with Alinta. I will be taking this further.

I can’t imagine how easy it is to switch over to Alinta Energy without signing any contract snd still receive a discount for gas use.
Faulty installation of electrical metre result into loss hot water supply in winter for days. Resident had to arrange electrician service by ourselves to relay the faulty linkage. The replacement arranged a month after. Before this being fixed, already received trariff price increasing email.
