Very good service
So I signed up to Alinta July 2024 when my retailer put up the tariffs. Alinta at 8c rebate and supply charge were good. Now they have dropped the rebate to 4c. Which I get. It's a concerted effort by government and suppliers to make home batteries more popular. Whats not acceptable is I sent an email to Alinta with the email address supplied on here from customer service asking how do I gain access to the credit that I have with them. No response. So clearly not willing to interact with a current customer, still have my gas. I'll wait for the final bill. If they don't reply by then. Ombudsman here I come. As they are withholding Albos money. The app is pretty crap compared to origin, and as origin has 4c solar feed in and the supply charge and peak rate is better, why would I stay loyal Alinta? Respond to your customers emails.

Very deceptive practices. Signed us up in November 2024 by phone with an 8c Feed in tariff for Solar. Advised by Email in January 2025 that this would be reduced to 4c on February 1st 2025. They would have known this when we signed up but no mention made. They are still offering the 8c plan today (30/01/25) with a barely noticeable drop down at the top of their Online Plan selection page. Unethical and misleading to say the least. Have now had to change supplier.

We had forgotten to transfer our energy over to our new place and it is a heatwave in qld and I got home to no power and a very hot house with a 6 month old baby, The lady I spoke with named Bri was absolutely incredible and I’m so grateful she was the one to answer my call, She could tell I was stressed and she was so efficient and thorough and made the whole process incredibly seamless, Thank goodness for Bri

Less than 2 months after signing up to Alinta and they cut my solar feed in tariff in half. Now I have to change providers AGAIN. No way in hell I'm staying with this scumbag company. They couldn't even wait a single quarter before immediately screwing over their new customer. Trash company.
After two months they dropped our feed in tariff by half.

Under very stressful circumstances the Alinta assistant was so very kind and patient. Thank you so much. And the connection was completed within 4 hours which I was also grateful for as I had to wait on the footpath so let the Energex guy in Phew glad that's all done. Thanks.

Anyone looking for an energy provider please DO NOT GO WITH ALINTA. It took 6 months of back and forth ringinging every week and it was so stressful and they just couldn’t or wouldn’t understand they made a mistake. So it took getting the Energy Ombudsman involved to get my electricity bill fixed. They won’t accept they made a mistake and kept sending people out to check out electricity box which there was nothing wrong with it. And all of them said it was Alinta’s billing mistake but they wouldn’t accept it. So once the Energy Ombudsman was involved they quickly settled things. So PLEASE DON’T GO TO ALINTA!!! Lilly, I wouldn’t waste my breath for one more word on your company. I’ve spoken to that many people and I’m glad I’m not with Alinta anymore. Shocking company.
