The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.
Shocking customer service. Copy and paste answers. Issue where I cant receive authenticaor messages - ongoing with nearly a week and no ETA on when will be solved
From my experience I really could not recommend 48 mobile to anyone. I thought everything was okay when I changed over until some customers started calling on the land line saying they are unable to call or text my mobile. When the odd call did get through sound quality was bad with some callers sounding like Darth Vader.
There was no difference even after changing to all the 48 recommended settings, I even tried different phones.
I was in contact with two people from 48 and explained the phone was a business phone and if customers can’t get in contact it’s costing the company. I was told they would get this sorted out A.S.A.P and that the problem was escalated to their technical department, and asked me not to leave until the problem was fixed, and that I would be receive an email as soon as the problem was resolved. FIVE DAYS LATER still no resolution had no choice but to switch.
OK network if you never leave Ireland been abroad 3 times this year to spain and I can never get Data no matter what settings you put in no customer support all they have is a robot to answer limited questions had to buy a Spanish sim card in order to get Data no option but to go back to Eir
Have had nothing but problems since I set up a week ago, couldn't port number,now it has cannot get onto my email (even though I've had several messages) I ring the number they sent a message on to say my number is now changed over and it tells me I've run out of credit I've not even set up properly yet bad experience from start to finish I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND
V happy in Ireland but too many problems when roaming. Just back from Belgium; no data despite trying all advice on the community forum and a full hour talking to a human on chat support. Happened to me before in Spain and I’ve had problems on occasion on returning from other places in Europe. It’s a pity; I’ll have to move (a royal pain) but maps, payment, email, whatsapp etc are all vital.
Can't argue with 7.99 a month and no problems so far - good coverage, unlimited calls more data than I'll ever need. Change over was straightforward. Does not appear to allow Intl Numbers, but with Whatsapp rarely an issue.
48 internet provider NOT available in France or UK
I could not use the internet using the 10.99 credit let month Either in France or the UK. AFTER a week in France and going to a repair shop (who said it was network provider problem) the mobile data still is not available to use
