The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.
I have been a customer for 5 years, my payment card expires at the end of the month, not the start of the month. I was cut off the network on the 1st of July even though my card expired on the 31st. Got a notice to update my card, but the bank hasn't issued the card yet. A lot more users on MY48 means a drop in signal strenght, and worse customer service.
I have no problem with 48 the phone coverage is as good for me where ever i go the 4g good also.
The only thing I find negative is when roaming its a little complicated to setup.
Switched to them from Eir in February. Honestly haven’t had many issues. Reception may not be as good but wifi makes up for that and being able to donate data every month to charity. Went away last month and had an issue with roaming and support helped me fix it. For €12.99 with no strings it’s better than most competitors.
Having been a customer with many of years the coverage is gone from bad to worse.
Contracted online support to see if they have been experiencing issues or if purposely slowing the service down to yet get people to switch to higher price plan. The agent made me delete network settings and now have lost all my saved WiFi passwords.
My phone won’t connect to a network abroad.
Avoid at all costs going to change provider
Signed up Months ago, never had a problem, i think the negative reviews are based on the roaming and people haven't read how to do it. Anyway very cheap no problem, staying with these, saves 100's a year.
48 is a great mobile network. Unlimited Calls and Texts. Unlimited 5G Data. Great coverage and very affordable too only €12.99 a month (no contract). Don't see why there is so many negative reviews because I never had any problems with them.
I don't understand the low score. I moved over a few years ago, and later bought Sims for both my parents also. I pay all three phone bills, and it costs me less than mam's old one bill from Vodafone.
I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but I've never needed to contact customer service.
