The 2026 Vehicles & Transportation report
Transportation services are evaluated almost entirely on a single dimension: did your stuff or your body arrive when, where and how it was supposed to? That apparent simplicity hides enormous variation across sub-segments. Rideshare reviews are dominated by surge pricing and driver behaviour. Shipping reviews live or die on last-mile reliability. Moving reviews are the most disaster-prone category on the platform — and the one where regulatory protection is most often unclaimed.
CrowdTrust's 2026 ranking weights reviews describing damage claims, missed delivery windows, surge or change-order pricing disputes, and disability-access failures more heavily than routine "great trip" reviews. The reasoning is the same as in travel: the bottom 10% of experiences predict renewal and recommendation behaviour far better than the top 90%.
The single most useful pattern across all sub-segments in 2026 is this: services that publish a published, verifiable upfront price — and honour it without change orders — outscore services with "estimate" pricing by roughly a full star, regardless of underlying quality. The category-wide message is that pricing predictability is now the dominant satisfaction driver in transportation.
