Zest Car Rental works with completely unreliable partners (car rental companies) and takes no responsibility if their partner cancels your booking due to flight delays (even if the delay is a few hours!). Our flight landed at 22:05, but the car rental office closed at 22:00. When we arrived the next day to collect the car (at a location 5 km from the airport!), we were told that, because of a "no-show," the rental had been cancelled and no refund would be issued. This was despite the fact that we had provided our flight number and arrival details in advance. I believe this happens regularly and is part of a well-organized scam!

The terms and conditions do not specify a time limit after which, if the car is not collected, the rental company can cancel the booking and retain the full 8-day rental payment. In our case, the delay was only 10 hours. The car was booked for 8 days, and at the very least, you should have offered an alternative vehicle when our family arrived by taxi to collect the car. If no car was available, a refund—minus the delay—would be appropriate. This feels like a scam, especially given that customers have limited control over collection time, particularly when the rental office is over 5 km from the airport and flights are delayed.
