Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
Visited twice and the first time I got an outside wash only. There were marks still on my windscreen and on the rear quarter panel of my car which I let slip without complaining.
The second and last time I visited, I mistaking decided to have the inside of my car cleaned. Not only did this take 90+ minute to accomplish but the interior of my car seat was damaged. When I returned to my car, the car was kept under the tent masking the damage. I drove home (0.5 miles) and upon exiting my car I noticed the damage.
I immediately called the branch and had a response from someone who was not working there that day stating the damage was not caused by them. The best that I was offered was a few washes to make up for the damage cause to my vehicle. The customer service I have received so far is appalling. My emails were ignored until I reached out to head office once again. After whoever cleaned my car damaged my seat I am now expected to have to fork of my own picked to have my seat repaired with absolutely no offer of support from this place. Absolute cowboys. Shocking service. Never going back there again!
If you live in Reading, don’t bother to go to any of the Waves locations. I’ve been to the Napier Road one twice and said I’d give the Portman Road a chance. All three times: DISAPPOINTED!!
Napier Road, the exterior isn’t cleaned properly despite the “Gold” wash “service”.
Today at Portman Road,
The “Gold service” was notified that the service was complete. Payment taken and when I was going to put my groceries in the car - all the mats and the trunk were soaking wet. Luckily I was able to spot this as I feared two/three days from now my car would have mildewed. I have removed my mats and had to blow dry and air dry them.
Everyone wants payment but doesn’t want to do the work for it.
The only reason I go to a car wash is because my residential building does not allow car washing.
I’ll look for an alternative but won’t be going to any Waves again.
Save yourself the money.
Larkfield waves is closed down again. This is because they too expensive and also cannot clean car quick enough. I have seen numerous new franchise personnel try to make it work.
An OK wash, but poor finish and poor value for price
Waves at Tesco, Dover, did an excellent job on my lightly-mildfewed soft top – as they should have done for the £30 extra charge. But the Gold wash, though reasonably thorough on the exterior, was poorly-finished, with water marks from inadequate drying, and foamy water swilling in the drainage channel around the boot. The vacuuming of the cabin was fine. but the dashboard had not been cleaned as promised and pre-existing water marks were still present. Not as good as the 'ordinary' local car wash at two-thirds the price.
Hampton branch. Paid for gold service but not satisfied with the overall job. They didn't clean the windows properly and overall overpriced for the service.
Took my already fairly clean car to Waves in Havant as I wanted it to shine like the one ls parked up. Asked for Bronze but was told this didn’t include a polish so paid for the Bronze plus. When I returned over an hour later, the windows hadn’t been cleaned properly and they were rushed cleaned while I waited by someone and not done properly. When I got home, I discovered bits of sponge stuck in the car and the polish was smeared in places there were watermarks all over the car, so I had to clean it off again myself, really disappointed as this was the first time I used the waves wash in Havant and I certainly won’t be going back again.
Always take my car to be washed here. Have used it for years.
Never had any issues. Car always spotless and completed in a quick timeframe. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else 👍
