Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
Waves at Whitfield Tesco Dover.
They never dried the car properly and didn't use the window cleaner spray the guy just squeezed the dirty water out of a cloth he'd used on the car and wiped the windows. Then tried to charge me £11 instead of the usual £10. Last time their card machine wasn't working and made me go to a cashpoint. He said £10.
So if it's cash it's £10 but if it's card it's £11. Really?
When I mentioned he hadn't used the window cleaner he said 'if you like I can do it now' I shouldn't have to ask. I told him not to bother but I wasn't paying him more than £10.
There is no consistency in either the wash or the price it all depends who serves you.
They ripped my me off, charge the £30 for bronze car wash. I drove away, realising how much I paid them. They send me an automated we see that should’ve been £21. Do not trust this company
Don't touch with a barge pole. Took my car there, requested they don't use a pressure washer because of paint bubbling. They used one anyway and completely knackered the ABS sensor - now failed MOT. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Paid £60 for the full monty, washing and cleaning inside and out.
Seats still had staining, there was still dirt and bits under the bench seat at the back, front alloys still stained,my electric wing mirrors no longer close up when locking the car and if you try to alter them inside, they either flip closed or flip open but don't work properly..
My CD player also does not work anymore and keeps saying error and unable to eject CD.
I won't be using them again.
Cash only at Sainsbury’s Corey Mills as card machine is constantly broken!
Tried to charge me £40.00 for wash and vac which I normally pay £30.00 for! I said no thank you.
Went to another local car wash paid £30.00 and they have gained a new customer.
Had our very dirty car cleaned whilst shopping in Tesco's, we were very pleased with the outcome and only charged us £10, that included the tyres being dressed, thanks guys great job.
I visited Waves car wash at Tesco superstore in New Malden as I have done many times in the past.On this occasion , the price quoted by a new manager on duty (one whom I had not encountered before) for an outside and inside car clean was significantly higher than before so I declined to accept it. This did not go down well with this man.I was then unreasonably blocked from driving forward and away and was told to reverse my car through four lanes of a busy garage with cars approaching me from behind. The man responsible for dealing with me in this way was rude and surly and because of his attitude his company will not now get my business again. For me this experience has made me feel differently about Tesco for partnering with a company who would allow this behaviour.
Absolutely terrible.
I normally go to waves in Tescos at Tenterden, Kent. Normally pay £25 and it’s fine.
This time the guy said £25 as I said I wanted a basic clean. I got back they charged me £35 and said it had a platinum job because of the state of the car. It’s been worse and I’ve paid £25.
Checked the car when I got to work and they hadn’t cleaned under the cars seat and there were still sweets down the seat belt holder .
Total scam . Very disappointing.
