Don't risk your car here

Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm. My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle! I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!

Useless don’t bother

Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash. The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with. They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless. Will wash it myself over the weekend.

GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH

GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.

Waves - Didcot. AVOID!!!!!

Honestly so annoyed with this place. I booked online with my reg number (so they can class the size of the car) and it said £20. I go there at the booked time not only is there a 2 hour wait (why bother booking then) but they wanted to charge me more than double the quoted price - £50! The lady then tried to haggle for me to wash my car there being quite insistent on asking how much I want to pay even though I told her multiple times that online said £20 and that is all I was going to pay. All in all a terrible online service and questionable service from the actual car wash. They have now charged me £5 for cancelling my booking. I can't get through to anyone to get my £5 back, it's not about the money it's the pure principle of it. Disgusting service.

Small i10 - Velvet overpriced and poor clean

Small i10 - asked how much was told £30 I thought expensive but I know things are more expensive lately. The man had quoted me for a gold service - I didn't realise there was a bronze and silver service as I didn't see the price list. My car was still dirty in places and water marks. I had been told it would have a wax finish. I left my car at 1pm and said I needed it ready by 1.45 I was told no problem! When I went back they had only just started it! It was 2.20pm before it was ready! Very poor clean and service - would NOT recommend. Tesco Waves Hornchurch Road - 13th May 2024

Used their Amersham branch in Tesco car park. After cleaning the car was ok but not brilliant as I paid for a platinum wash. The wash only took 45 minutes (It says at least 90 minutes) i was told to upgrade from Gold to Platinum wash as the car was very dirty and at the end I had a flat battery as they had turned the lights on and left them on not impressed will not be using again

Great experience

For over six years, I’ve entrusted my car to Alex, and I wouldn’t consider anyone else for the job. Alex has consistently delivered exceptional service, surpassing expectations with his meticulous attention to detail. His professionalism extends beyond his work; he is kind, polite, and a pleasure to interact with. It’s with great disappointment that I’ve learned of Alex’s departure. His absence will be profoundly felt, as he is undoubtedly a significant asset to the car washing company.

Waves at Tescos, London Road, Stevenage

I was looking for a car valeting service. I went online and found Waves. It was a Tescos and as I had a Clubcard I decided to take the plunge. I booked it in for a Gold Service. I was told it would be 45 minutes. True to their word it was 45 minutes before I could have it back. However, when I got it back the car looked as if I had just picked it up from the showroom as brand new. It was gleaming and shiny. Not only was it clean on the outside but it was immaculate inside the car as well. As I said before it was just like a brand new car on the outside and on the inside. To say I'm pleased with it is a huge understatement as I don't think the car could be any cleaner. I would thoroughly highly recommend Waves at Tescos on the London Road in Stevenage. The staff were superb, highly professional, friendly, approachable and worked extremely hard. I got my points on my club card and was able to pay either by cash or card. Brilliant service and I will be going back again.

Booked my car in for a platinum wash/valet, at Waves in Mold. I was told it would take one and a half hour's to one hour forty five minutes, they messaged me after an hour and ten minutes. The floor mats were still dirty , polish smeared all over the dash, quarter windows haven't been cleaned, bottom of the doors still dirty. I complained to customer service they didn't want to know. Charged £50 could have done better myself!!

Absolute rip off left my car asked them…

waves tesco longeaton Absolute rip off left my car and asked them to be careful where they left it after washing it. I paid £30 for a wash and vac, i think they just washed it with snow foam and a power wash the wheels didnt looked cleaned at all , drivers side carpets not cleaned , pockets of unwashed areas, boot not cleaned out, i pointed out the wheels rubbed dirt off and showed my finger they started moaning saying in broken english "ok washed" spoke good english when i was handing over money, i asked them to clean it properly or give me money back, i had to argue with the one in charge to get £5 back, they are different people to who ran it last year, no integraty, they are ripping people off its shocking , the chap that runs it is a complete imberseal no compassion just a con man not running the place just running a blatent scam. They also crammed my car tight between two old bangers ?muppets trust me if you have pride in your car dont take it there just sit in your car and watch them in action its a converyer belt your paying 30£ for a bout 15 mins of work which puts them on 240£ per hour if they process 2 cars an hour.

Rip off car wash

I would give a none star rating if possible. My partner went to get our car washed at Tesco Waves Hand Car Wash today at St Helens main store by St Helens Rugby stadium. When he asked how long it would be they quoted 1hour. They also quoted £30 although the Waves at Roses Lane store in Liverpool usually charges £25 for the same service. He agreed to pay and left the car. After an hour he returned but the car still wasn’t done and took another hour to complete which is a joke. They then asked how much he was charged and when he said £30 they said “oh yeh that’s ok”. The car was cleaned ok but they took forever to do and it seems they charge what ever they think they can get away with for each customer. My partner overheard they charged a lady £40 for the same service to her car, so clearly making it up and ripping people off. Shame on them for their clearly underhand tactic. Also their prices board they said is out of date and wrong so customers have know idea of prices for themselves. Terrible business morals and something Tesco should be ashamed of.

Shrewsbury Tesco Battlefield

Quoted me £30 and tried to change me £35 when I collected my car, clearly trying it on. Noticed a couple of days later that there were fine scratches on display bezel which weren't there before and a trim on my boot had been pulled away. Not a great service all in all.
