Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
I’ve always visited waves car wash in Hastings - I actually live about an hour away but always travel out of my way as they have done a great job.
It seems there are now new people that work there, they look like teenagers who aren’t even old enough to drive! I waited around Tesco for an hour whilst my car was cleaned and waxed, and for £45 was extremely disappointed. None of the interior had been wiped down, not the dashboard, steering wheel, navigation screen as if still had finger prints and dust on it. The windscreen has smear marks all over it which were so bad it actually affected my road visibility as the sun was setting! The wing mirrors hadn’t been touched, covered in cobwebs and still had marks to the actual mirrors. The inside of the back window had not been cleaned or wiped, nor had the boot been vacuumed. I don’t even know if they did wax it which I paid £5 more for. Unfortunately, I didn’t realise how much of a shabby job they had done until I started driving it and was noticing things, but obviously as I live an hour away I didn’t bother turning back, it just means I will never be visiting there again, I’m sure there are small businesses closer to home that’ll do a decent job, at a fair price!
Only given 2 stars as previously they have always been good - if today was my first ever visit it would have none!
It wasn’t busy, there were no other cars there. The two members of staff who were there were just hanging out the back of the little box unit what ever you call it! They really didn’t seem to want to do any work, and it shows!
So disappointed to have wasted that money and to now have to waste more time going to have the car cleaned properly! I hope waves car wash Hastings read this and address their staff!
Had a milk spillage last week, they kept my car all day and valeted it, it was ready on time and looked sparkly and new. No smells from the milk (very hot day). Really pleased and service was friendly and professional.....good job Blackpool Waves!
Not going back I paid for the top wash full Monty £50 my car is only 2 months old didn’t notice at the time but there’s still bird crap in it and also a small scratch ! Now am not 110% sure where the scratch came from but was meant to have been waxed and polished obviously never done it if there was still remains of bird crap so I won’t be using them again
Bedford tesco car wash . Been there today to was our 5 months old car they did the worst wash i ever expirienced wheels are dirty water marks all over watermarks and missed spots for 20ppuds wash just outside the car noy recomended at all . Avoid as service is very poor
Absolutely shocking behaviour broadfields WAVES Tesco Aylesbury the guy that was driving the customers cars found it funny by driving them Erratically and skidding round the small car park !!!! In front of me seriously !!!!! His name was Russi or so I was told by staff of waves and he has reported this to his line manager too apparently . NEVER AGAIN WILL I TRUST UIS PLACE .
Had a standard car wash and was asked if I wanted it wax polished for five pds extra. So told them to go ahead. Car was ready and washed within one hour as they had advised. Did notice some initial water marks and was prepared to overlook. However next day appeared to reveal dozens of wax polish marks that have so far found difficult to get out. Solely based on this I now regret having paid extra for the additional wax polish.
In future will likely only use for a basic wash, but they are convenient and waves staff as I understand are vetted and paid a decent wage.
Personally, I’d avoid Waves and get your sponge and bucket out
Was dubious about trying the Waves car wash in Maldon Tesco as the staff always look rather aggressive, however a friend recommended them. The staff were indeed bad tempered and quoted me £55 to wash my car and Hoover inside. I have a medium sized car, and there wasn’t any particularly difficult cleaning required, checking their price list it should have been £38 at the most (which is still pricey). I declined his ambitious offer and watched him swagger back to his colleagues muttering and angrily waving his arms in the air 😂. Won’t be recommending them and certainly won’t be going back!
Hi, I had my new car (new to me) washed using the gold service at Tesco Napier Road in Reading.
The car had just been finished when I went to collect it. It looked ok on first look! However, Once I got it home, we noticed it was covered ALL OVER in water marks and streaks that as had dried would not rub away using a cloth (bearing in mind that I'd paid for the GOLD service) Also there is now a NASTY SCRATCH on the passenger side wing mirror casing, which I'm now getting a quote to get fixed! I have been SO CAREFUL driving and parking it since having it, it is a car that I'd worked and saved for years for. GUTTED at the LACK of CARE and QUALITY of finish plus the DAMAGE caused!
I have used them many times before with my old car, and never had any issues, but this car is my pride and joy!
I WILL NOT BE USING THEM AGAIN!!!!!!!
If I could give zero stars I would. Booked a slot for 9am today at Tesco Slough. Staff didn't arrive till 9.30 then told me it would take them till 10am to set up. Staff not bothered that I had a booked slot just told me to come back at 10. VERY NOT HAPPY.
