Great teachers!
Kathrin has been an amazing teacher for the last year... Very friendly and engaging with the children and able to lead the lesson so that all the children get to improve and have a good time.
Water Babies receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.
Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

My son joined them for one term, he was still horrified of the water but the teacher never provided any further instructions to help him learn swimming. The teacher told the class at the end of the term that we need to sign up to future classes. No email correspondence was sent to inform that further action was needed if we do not want to sign up to the new term. I went away and was charged with 2 terms!! Absolutely horiffying! They just scam you into giving your card details and don't care if you dont show up for 2 terms!! I sent them complain but all they can reply was it's in the T&C but wouldn't respond to any of the points i raised about them breaking the T&C. This is swimming classes, I'm not buying toilet papers on Amazon, why would i have a recurring payment set up. Even my gym don't do that! Absolutely SCAM! I already sent email to your complaints inbox and got tranaferrred 3 times but nobody cares to answer my queries.

We swam with Water Babies for 5 years and thought the concept and programme excellent! Swimming is a life skill and we are over the moon that we introduced our little one to safety from birth. We are very surprised by much of the feedback via this platform. The office team are helpful and always polite, teachers fabulous and pools excellent. The payment is a rolling rebooking but you can opt out of this if you wish! No mysterious payments are ever made or processed despite comments below! The odd week of term missed use to alternative plans or sickness are still paid for much like nursery spaces etc, but lessons are during term time and so holidays are usually out of swim term time. Any issues discussed with the admin team are well considered and fair. We could not recommend this swim school more! Well done Water Babies!

Great experience with water babies. My daughter has been having lessons for about a year now. She has really progressed and absolutely loves water now. I like how they teach them water safety, eg how to hold onto the side of the pool if they were to fall in. The teacher Hannah is great. It is expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. The only minor negative is the changing facilities are not very good at the pool I go to, however I can live with it as the classes are so good.

Just did one terms of baby classes with Water Babies at Darwin Court. I didn't feel it was worth the money, considering it's one of the most expensive swim schools for children. Here are a few down points: • Darwin court doesn't have parking so you're advised to park on the Lidl parking, which is 5mn walk away. This resulted with us having a £90 fine once for taking too long to get ready at the end of the class • Classes are back to back without break so you have to leave the pool immediately at the end of the class, without a chance to talk to the teacher or ask questions. It feels very impersonal as no chance to get to know the teacher at all. • There's no changing table, and you're asked to change your baby on the floor, on the side of the pool, as changing rooms are supposedly only for the class that's just finished. • It's very hard to find this information but the photoshoot at the end of terms is £175!!! Almost the price of the whole term. They know how parents are eager to have a souvenir photo of their little one underwater and aren't ashamed to rip us off. That's how it feels. I saw other schools where the photoshoot is included! I'll go to these next. However, I give my two stars to the teacher, Amanda. She's very experienced and professional. All the best, Chloe

I was concerned initially when I saw so many negative reviews. So I'll be specific with my review. I joined the class at Bristol Nuffield. The pool was in the gym, it was warm enough because we had to buy an additional Warm in One Splash About wetsuit in addition to the Happy Nappy. The teachers (Sam) were lovely and professional. The admin team (Kiri and Vicky) were very responsive and helpful. The only cons are the price but i guess this is due to the high demand and limited spaces. I think it is limited to around 6 babies per class. So you get the quality of what you pay for. I would continue for longer term but i can't afford this long term...

I enquired about the classes a while back. Since then, I have had non-stop emails and text messages asking me to sign up. Very annoying and I don't know how to stop these! Classes seem extremely dear for what you get and going by the reviews on here, not worth it at all. You're also asked to pay for specific waterbabies merchandise for classes on top of the cost of each class...

Have had a pathetic experience with water babies. I was told a lot of things at joining but when I actually joined they denied everything. For instance I was told that if I miss a lesson and have a doctor's note they would refund the class fees. When I got chicken pox I sent them the doctors note and they said they won't refund cost as it's general sickness!! On top they said I should go for the class even though the doctor specifically asked me not to since it's contagious. They promise a lot of things to get you to join and then go back on their words. Swim lessons as re below average as they just repeating the same thing again and again no new skills are learnt by baby. Absolutely pathetic service. DO NOT JOIN

I was determined that my baby would attend baby swimming to ensure water confidence, safety and eventual independent swimming as young as possible. I was not disappointed! Our pool was lovely and warm with excellent facilities. Our instructor was so good. We continued to attend until our little boy graduated! We loved our time with Water Babies & all now miss our weekly lessons. If you do one thing with your baby, do this!

You can’t even book 1 trial class, so you can see if it’s worth spending so much money, they are charging for everything. Not a nice company, reviews also says it all. They are a complete rip of. I am surprised that they still exist.

Our son has been attending water babies for three years now and it’s priceless how confident he is in the water. We swim in Hythe and his teacher Zoe is amazing with the children, he loves her and can’t wait for his lesson every Saturday. She never pushes the children too hard to do things they don’t want to do, and when our son went through a period of not wanting to go under the water, we didn’t press it and now he will go under no problem. If a lesson is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances were always notified within the week if it can be added on to the end of a term or if it’ll be refunded. The office even called after a lesson one week, because our son was having a bad day and not himself, to check everything was ok. His teacher really cares and we’ll definitely stick with lessons until the end. Of course there were disruptions around covid due to changing rooms etc. But it was like this worldwide and I feel like they managed it, alongside the actual venue, as best as they could. I’m really shocked at the other reviews because we’ve had nothing but good things to say about Water Babies
