Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

We have been swimming with water babies…
We have been swimming with water babies since my son was 6 months old. He’s now nearly two. Great teachers and a great skill/ safety skills for little ones to have from a very young age! It as also allowed us to feel comfortable taking him away on holiday and enjoy swimming. Definitely recommend it!

It's a good swimming class and activity…
It's a good swimming class and activity for babies and young kids. My son has been attending weekly since he was 6 months old and he is now reaching 3 years old. The class is well organised and the pools seem nice and clean (depending on which one of their school/locations you chose to go). The duration of the class (30 mins) may be good for under 1 year olds but feels too short for my son's age (now 3). Once we are in and begin to have fun, the class is over! It could be at least 45 mins for a more satisfactory experience and all the efforts involved in attending the class. They don't allow any shower facilities (even if the school has showers, WaterBabies don't allow you to use them) which is extremely inconvenient. I hope they stop using Covid as an excuse (3 years later) for not allowing certain things like showers. The cost (£21) for 30 minutes, paid on a monthly basis (£84 for 4 weeks) is too high in my opinion. Overall my son had a great time attending these classes and made great friends there too!

We LOVE Waterbabies
We LOVE Waterbabies. Our Little boy has been attending since he was 5 weeks old - he is now 22 months. He has so much confidence in the water now, he loves jumping in and he is learning all important safety skills in the water. It is worth every single penny and i cannot reccomend it enough.

An amazing supportive and professional…
An amazing supportive and professional company that have continued to offer fantastic opportunity to teach our son to swim. Despite his disability and complex health needs they go over and above to support him and he has progressed from a small scared boy to a confident child more confident in the water having learnt so many water and life skills.

A lot of fun
My son has been going to water babies for 16months, his ability and confidence in the water has gone from strength to strength. I can’t fault his teacher bec she is engaging and always encourages him giving extra support when needed. He loves attending and every week gets excited when we enter the gates. He enjoys trying to sing the songs and loves doing the actions. Overall our son has learnt to swim and has a lot of fun doing so.

Great lessons 1 unreliable pool
The lessons are fantastic - clear teaching and Kat is amazing! Our little girl has been going since she was 5 weeks old and she has made great progress. Unfortunately, the pool water babies use (at Ellen Tinkham school) is quite unreliable, and so lessons have been cancelled more often than we would like due to the pump breaking or chlorine and chemical levels being wrong. This was never an issue at the pools we used before then for water babies lessons, and Water Babies have always been quick to refund us for those lessons, but it is a bit annoying.

Awful experience
I signed up as a new activity for the new year. On the call, they asked for payment for a month — I asked "You require payment for a month for us to attend?" and the lady said Yes. Then just before our first session I received an email "Please accept T&Cs before attending". And of course hidden in those T&Cs is their 4 weeks' notice period. My son, unfortunately, did not like the place and was not ready to take lessons. That's my fault, I need to find another way of getting him into it and Water Babies is for toddlers who are ready to get in the water. I tried for one more week and again he was not up for it. So I requested a cancellation and of course they charged me for a further 4 weeks. So that means my son hasn't had a single lesson but I've now paid for 6 weeks of lessons at £17 / lesson. On the one hand, I agreed to the T&Cs. On the other hand, what a ridiculous experience as a customer with a child who wasn't ready. And why didn't the customer service representative tell me this on the phone? Awful experience.

Great customer service
I have to say, I have gotten the best customer service I think I’ve ever gotten today by your staff member Hannah. I wanted a voucher but couldn’t get through by phone so I emailed and she called me back. She was so polite and professional on the phone, emailed the vouchers to me within minutes and was just all around lovely! I am a Customer service Manager and I could use some more Hannah’s on my team!!
