Didn't take so long to fill out the certificate of my birth certificate!!
Easy process
Straight forward and easy to understand and navigate.
This experience has been a nightmare. I paid for expedited service and two weeks later was sent a message they needed some other information. I provided the information but they again asked for money which I did not provide so they canceled the order but when I tried to reach them they ignored me for two more weeks. The third email was finally responded to with a denial for refund and they had the nerve to say they could not refund my money because it had been processed. So which is it ? Canceled or processed and where are the documents? Two weeks later they mailed an application asking for another signature and money. Ridiculous. I would never use this company again. Ridiculous and weak.
If I could post screenshots I would; I had ordered a new birth certificate in July 2024,it is now July 2025 and I still have not received something I paid 100 dollars for which to me is a bit ridiculous considering how inexpensive getting a birth certificate actually is (10 dollars) I honestly hadn't known much about this process as I have had the same one for so long its got rips all over the place and moving well, I ended up either accidentally throwing it away or losing it my fault on that end of course. I ended up being caught in a loop around with the vital records customer service and the health department both telling me to call each other. Now today I sit here fed up completely not only has it been a year but I just sat on customer service holding line for an HOUR only to be hung up on. I ended up calling the clerk office personally and the woman even goes "oh my gosh I get so many calls complaining about vital records and how long they've had to wait for one" I only have to pay 10 bucks for the application fee and they will send it within a week or two and I didnt get hung up on, my call was answered and helped within 10 minutes. This company is a scam do NOT waste 100 dollars call the actual clerk office from the town/city you were born in they get it done fast and they were beyond helpful. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! Update response to your comment vital records: I did in fact do all of those steps you have tried stating I didnt also, the countless times I was on the phone with yall and not a single ONE of you could explain any of that to me and only did you do so after the fact of my review. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A SCAM AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF.
After 10 months waiting for my birth certificate I have received nothing except bogus tracking numbers that correlate to nothing at all. The reason they have any positive reviews is that you have to review them to complete your order. A scam! So not enter your sensitive information! VRO1634933
This website processes are horrible. There representive Freddy is a horrible rep. Extremely disrespectful. This company hires people who don't care about your time or whatever you paid for. The charge hidden fees a prescription 10 dollars a month and want to you being charged every month. I got a refund and because it's going on 3 months. I ordered a premium service. Got the bum service instead. If you can avoid there service at all cost. And check to see if there charging you for services there not provided because you order a birth certificate from vital services
I am extremely unhappy with the overall service and responsiveness of Vital Records Online. I followed their instructions, paid for the online notary service separately, and did everything else they required. They were extremely slow to respond, they failed to update my account records on their internal system for several months, and their self-service tracking system was never updated, as well. When I was finally able to speak to someone, they said that, as of that day, my order was finally ready to submit to the state of Texas, but they would cancel everything and refund their part of the fees to me. It had already been 12 weeks, and I told them to proceed. I was assured that they would submit it to the State of Texas that day. A couple of weeks later, I got an email that said my service had been cancelled and that they were refunding my $51.00 fee. I was still out the notary fee. I was left in the dark whether or not they actually submitted it to the State of Texas, and I lost access to the portal. I waited a few more weeks to see if I would receive the certificate from Texas. When it didn't arrive by the due date, I reordered it directly from the State of Texas. It should be here in five weeks. I lost nearly four months dealing with these people. The only upside was I actually did get the $51 refund -- hence two stars instead of one.
Zero stars not an option or I would have left zero. Utter run around. Wild incompetence. Tried for FOUR months to get my birth certificate, had to FLY TO LA to get it so I can get my passport. Wildly, flagrantly, with great determination, this company seems to take pleasure in obfuscation and utter incompetence. How many emails to answer the SAME question. How many attachments PROVING my identity? Do they care? Absolutely not. They care about making your life a nightmare of runarounds and fulfilling their requirements only to be told you have to fulfill these requirements. Which you then fulfill. So then they ask you to fulfill them AGAIN. So you do, thinking SURELY NOW they will release my document. Oop! Nope. Why not fulfulill these requirements again. You know, the same ones youve already fulfilled 5 times. How bout again? I think they must employ baboons
I submitted request for birth certificate on 2/11/25. To this date, I have received no birth certificate. Much like other experiences, all I received when placing inquiries was "processing". When I called both the state and local health departments, they stated there was no record of this request. Tried to call "customer service", any option you select ends up being disconnected. Very poor service; do not waste your time.
Paid for the service, paid twice for their in house notary, paid for expedited service. Never got a birth certificate. My next step will be to file a fraud complaint with the attorney general which luckily my sister works for.
I placed an order for my birth certificate in April and paid $112.65, plus an additional $55 for expedited processing. After receiving no updates for weeks, I contacted the company in early June and was told the request was still “processing.” Following that complaint, the $55 expedited fee was refunded — but I still have not received my birth certificate, nor any meaningful communication or resolution. It is now July. This company has had my money for months, failed to provide the service I paid for, and has not taken any responsibility. What makes this even more concerning is that this business is promoted on a government-affiliated (.gov) website, which gives people the false impression that it is an official or vetted agency. That is misleading and borders on fraud. This is unacceptable. No one should be losing money or documents to a service that hides behind government legitimacy without delivering results.
It worked out in the end, but the experience would have been far better with communication and clear next steps from the company.
NEVER received my birth certificate so I requested a refund which they WONT GIVE BACK. They're SCAMMERS !! BEWARE
This service is definetly a Scam. I will never use this service again. I requested a marriage cert. and requested an expedite and they said it will take about 20 days plus the time it takes to mail it out. I paid about 80 dollars for this service and only to be dissatisfied. I had to go in person to L.A. County to get my Cert. and only took me 30 min.DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PLEASE!
These guys are a scam! Sent them money 9 months ago for a birth certificate, only to get the run around. Do NOT use these rip-offs!
Tried to get a copy of birth certificate, months later they lost forms and then denied getting my birth certificate unless I paid even more, they offer notary services through their own website and then do not accept those notaries, after you have paid. Miserable and after 4 months I am out a few hundred dollars and have nothi
Never got my birth certificate and they didn't refund me my full amount. Scam company!
I paid for an "expedited" death certificate, $56.65, they only allow their notary, $19.95. They may have expedited their completing and mailing of the records - but they didn't pay it forward: asking for an expedited death certificate. It took from Feb 9th until March 28th to receive a denial letter because they did not complete the request correctly. It states: "Your application is now closed, and no further action will be taken. If you choose to resubmit...". I did it myself and got it back in less than 2 weeks... with only an on-line notary cost, saving over $57. For the High Price, I'd Expect a Pick-Up at the Records Office. It takes less than 10 minutes - I also picked up copies there, prior to needing the final ones mailed to me. There's no 'guarantee' they will get you the records, or fix their error.
On February 28th 2025 I ordered a important document because I needed it to obtain my State Real I.D. that's required to have by May 2025. I figured that if I'd order it in February, I'd definitely receive it before May 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿 It's now July 2025 & my birth certificate still hasn't arrived. If I knew that I was dealing with a fraudulent bogus 3rd party company & not a government agency I would've went down to the government agency myself. At least I would've obtained the same day & I wouldn't have paid triple for my document!! So being that I needed my birth certificate for June 27th 2025 for a DMV appointment to obtain my State Real I.D., I went down to the government agency on June 13th & purchased it for $17. I paid this fraudulent bogus 3rd party company $39.65 plus another $20 to have a notarized seal on the document. I have written 3 reviews on this platform to warn others about this fraudulent bogus 3rd party company that's charging triple what it cost for your documents, answered me all 3 times with that it's not their fault, they're not a government agency & that they could reach out to the other party to see what's taking so long, when in fact they're the one that accepted the money the same minute I purchased the document.🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿 I even asked for a refund & was told that it was too late to receive one!! Well I called my bank a week ago & told them what this fraudulent bogus 3rd party company has done to me & I received my refund!! If you're going to purchase an important document, do not & I repeat do not purchase through this fraudulent bogus 3rd party company Vital Records Online. They'll take your money the moment you purchase your documents & and don't even follow up to make sure you received them & refuse to refund your money back!! This is what you call a 3rd party disaster!!!!
I need my birth certificate to go on a cruise payed for prime service said it would be here in 12 days that was june 2 it is now july 2 have not heard a thing from these people sent two rmails called left message asking for a refund have not heard a thing DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU NOTHING FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP OFF
