Travis Perkins Plymouth (Sutton Road) Go Above and Beyojnd

Travis Perkins Plymouth (Sutton Road) have been absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to help our youth theatre bring a performance to life at Totnes Castle. Matt and Mack have borne been so helpful and giving of their time and energy, Mack single handedly delivered Heras fencing up to the castle in the heat, thank you!

Mistake with an order!

I realised I had made a mistake with an online order for 4 fence panel's when I received a text notification of the date of delivery. They were due for delivery from a supplier in 2 days time. Slightly stressed, about the possible cost implications if I was too late to cancel the order, I had a problem as the website contact number was incorrect. I had a call with Mark (workington Store) who put me in touch with Stuart ( Online team) who sorted it out for me. He cancelled my order with the supplier. Both were friendly, understanding, professional and quick to act. Thanks for great customer service. Lynn

Travis Perkins Rhondda are superb

Travis Perkins Rhondda are superb. I have been buying stuff here regularly for when I visit to help get my daughter’s place sorted. They have simply been great from the start. Advice on setting up an account, making it easy to order with them, helpful when I go into the branch. Friendly and accurate info always supplied. Bought from them over six times , had deliveries four times and all gone perfect. Danny, Ryan and the rest of the team, I thoroughly recommend you.

Best team - Mike, and Canterbury branch

I had an urgent need for bricks and building sand, as I had my bricklayer for a few more days. I called the Canterbury branch, and Mike was invaluable; he visited the site on the same day to ensure I could obtain the correct bricks for next-day delivery, as the bricks I had ordered would have taken another week to arrive. The delivery driver was also very helpful. Best team ever.

I've been a regular customer for years and Gregory on the sales desk recently advised me to open up an account. I find all the staff very friendly and helpful and there's always a great atmosphere when I'm shopping there. I would like to say I find Gregory very friendly, helpful and he always goes out of his way to give me good advice about all the products in the store. I find him a great asset to your business

Internet order and collect doesn't work

I ordered some kiln dried sand from Blyth Travis Perkins online to collect. I received a text and email to tell me "Items ready for collection". I assumed this meant the items were ready for collection......wrong! I travelled to Travis Perkins the next day to collect the sand as I needed it to complete the job I was working on. It took me 42 minutes and travelled 14.5 miles to attempt to collect the "Items ready for collection" and return to the place where I was working. When I arrived in the shop I was given a print out to collect the imaginary items and asked to drive round to the back of the building to collect the imaginary items. When I got there no one stopped or offered to help so I eventually stopped a member of staff driving a forklift and explained "my order was ready for collection and asked where is the sand stored. He replied "We ain't got none. It sold out days ago" I explained that it had been reserved and I had a text and email saying "Items ready for collection". He explained it wasn't resereved and asked me to return to the shop. When I went back to the shop a lady asked could she help me. I explained I had an email and text telling me that "Items are ready for collection" but they weren't. I showed her the collection document I had just been given 10 minutes earlier. She explained that "this does happen" and asked if I would like to come back to collect the order once it was in stock. As I had a job half finished and no one could park on the drive I explained I couldn't wait that long. She offered to refund me which I excepted. I then had to go and source some sand from somewhere else to finish the job! This was in addition to the 42 minutes and travelling 14.5 miles to and from Travis Perkins plus the tine wasted spent at Travis Perkins. I can't believe that: Travis Perkins accept orders and full payment for goods that are not available; That they Email and Text to say "Items ready for collection" when they are not; That the staff don't know what is in stock and having travelled there then send you to collect the imaginary items; When you return to the shop to explain the items are not in stock the sales assisted just says "this does happen. They just accept it as though it doesn't matter that time and money has been wasted traveling to the store; My working day was extended by Travis Perkins as I had to source sand from somewhere else and finish the work that day; and Expect me to solve a problem they have left me with. Perhaps Travis Perkins should rather than accept that "this does happen" have systems in place to prevent it. If the person in the warehouse knows what's out of stock then my sorry experience, and presumably from the staff replies, lots of other peoples poor experiences could quiet easily be prevented. The only good thing to come out of this is I then went to JEWSONS to source the sand. The customer service staff were professional and very helpful. The warehouse team were friendly, readily available and even helped move the sand for me. BEST OF ALL THEY WERE CHEAPER! The moral of the story is DON'T BOTHER GOING TO TRAVIS PERKINS it's not worth the risk of having your time wasted collecting imaginary items! SAVE MONEY AND GO TO JEWSONS Thanks for the reply Hayley. As it was clear from the staff's reaction and comments to not having the stock that I was informed you via text and email that you thought you did have. This must have been a well known issue. I'm dissapointed that it had not been addressed earlier and that it took a 1 star review for you to consider taking action. A case of too little too late!

The most useless builders merchants in the uk. Over priced every one of them works in a different way and they keep massive amounts of stock in one location and none in others. Surprised its still in business with how crap it is

Excellent customer service received from the Taunton Branch manager…

Order no WEB181439707. My order was for 2x 600L SuperGrow blended loam 1x top soil 40x rolawn turfs. order arrived as per booking but blended loam and turfs we considered sub standard, unfortunately these things happen and I was left at that time in a bit of a state, however I have given the company a well deserved 5 stars for their attitude towards customer service, both their head office personnel and the manager at the Taunton Branch responded with understanding and compassion, although they could not rectify the problem the compensation package and the way it was handled left me with the impression that they took ownership of the problem and went over and above to ensure that I went away respected and valued as a customer, so as a result I will not hesitate to use and recommend this company and branch to anyone.well done

Dismal service from Travis Perkins

Ordered a cement mixer from Travis Perkins (Stratford Upon Avon). Person on the phone informed me that this was ordered, emailed me the paperwork and asked me to print this off and pick up Saturday morning. People all hired to lay patio in line with picking up the cement mixer. When I arrived at TP on Saturday morning (10am) they informed me that the cement mixer had not been ordered, I had simply received a quotation?? Furthermore They did not have any cement mixers for hire. I was left with 90 minutes to source another cement mixer (before hire places all shut for the day and the patio laying people arrived on my doorstep)!. I was not impressed and will not be using TP again. Thank goodness for Jewsons saving the day!

Do not tell you about deliveries and do not deliver when they say

Ordered materials on line and message with order stated I would be contacted about delivery day. Waited a few days nothing so rang local yard up. Was told delivery was scheduled for the next week but agreed to change it to next day. Waiting in no delivery came so rang them again and found that they changed it back to the following week and again did not contact me to let me know. Therefore do not expect any delivery date and do not rely on them to come when they say.

Had a delivery today from the wolverhampton branch. What a pleasure to meet Andy and Bal. As a single woman they placed the items exactly where I needed them to be. They were polite, courteous and helpful. What a great start to my day.
