Tradex, avoid

We have used Tradex for many years now, the service has always been adequate. This year however has been appalling, we were asked if we wnated to renew our policy which we did, they managed to change the policy WITHOUT informing us and the ONLY way we discovered this was there was an incident in Portugal, thank god we are going through the Portuguse system, because as I said without notifying us they managed to WITHDRAW the European portion of the insurance. Sadly my partner has dithered about changing to another company so the 14 dy cool off period is something we cannot get out of but just to warn anyone else our premiums are now £696.31 a month for a policy thats not worth the paper they cut down 50 trees to write it on

I TOOK A MOTOR TRADE ROAD RISK POLICY FROM TRADEX THOROUGH PIB INDURANCE. AFTER TAKING INSURANCE I BEEN ASKED SO MANY UNNECCESSARY QUESTIONES EVERY WEEK FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS GIVING ME A LITTLE TIME TO REPLY. ON WEDNESDAY 28/05/205 I RECIVED A MAIL TO PROVIDE SOME MORE DOCUMENTS,6 READE INVOICE AND CARS LOG BOOKS PAGE 1-3 FOR CARS ON MID. FTER THAT MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELED WITHOUT DEMANDING ANY MORE DOCS. I EVEN PHONE TO TRADEXON 07/05/2025 TO CHECK IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED ALL PAPERS THEY DEMANDED OR THEY NEEDS ANYMORE INFORMATIOS OR DOCUMENTS AND I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MY BROKER AND MY POLICY WAS CANCELLED ON 08/05/2035 WITH OUT ANY EXPLAINATION. IT AHS RUINED MY BUSINESS. AFTER CANCELATION OF MY TRADE INSURANCE FROM TRADEX NO ONE WANTS TO INSURE ME ANY MORE AND I CAN NOT RUN MY CAR TRADE BUSINESS WITHOUT TRADE INSURANCE. IT IS VERY UNFAIR. I WISH NO ONE GO THOROUGH THIS ORDEAL.

If I could give Them no stars I would. I've been in business for a long time and I've never come across such a shocking company. My story is a long one so I won't bore you with it but if you go with these guys you are in for a world of pain.

Kev Hilton was great with communication and sorted the exact purpose of my call by listening to what I had to say then solidifying it by proposing to take action towards my request immediately and giving me complete trust by informing me that the issue will be resolved by the end of the day and it certainly was.

Misleading company

Had a Self Drive Hire Insurance policy with Tradex from August 2022 , paying over 25k a year for only 3-4 vehicles was told the price would hopefully come down the next year however remained the same (even though no claims were made). I invested my entire savings into my business, avoided to make any claim and would pay out of my own pocket if needed, just so I could keep my policy on a clean slate. However, on 29/07/24 2 weeks prior to my cover ending (12/08/24) they decide they no longer want to insure my business. I am still gobsmacked till this day. Their insurance product was massively expensive leaving me with a loss of profits on the winter months. I was hoping to build my no claims with this insurance company so I was willing to pay the price. Every other insurance company now requires 3 years experience minimum for self drive hire and I have 2 years which is no use. I have now realised they had actually sold their company to markerstudy January 2024. They have been refusing everybody’s renewal 2 weeks prior to their policy end date. This means they had known more than 6 months they would not be giving me a renewal but decided to let me know 2 weeks prior to my end date. For some people this would be very inconvenient as they may need to change insurance providers however, for me it means bankruptcy for my business which I had high hopes for. I had managed to make some profit and buy vehicles for my company but have now had to sell them just to get by and have lost everything I had made and more from the last 2 years. All the contacts I had made and the connections with my clients as I can no longer trade without the insurance.

Highly recommend this company

Always had good dealings with them and the online update makes life so much easier. And unlike other companies they don't charge for changes.

Has to be the worst insurance company…

Has to be the worst insurance company in the uk after my company has been insured by them for 25 years and paying them all most four hundred thousand pounds they inform us that they will not be offering us any cover this year and wait until two weeks before it expires to let us know and very little time to get replacement cover for our vehicles

Should have read reviews first

In my opinion, this company has no regard whatsoever for their good paying customers and or their customers business. I joined them with 9 years no-claims and after 1 very minor claim (less than £500) they left me with 3 years no claims bonus. Refused to give new terms of business and made it impossible to get quotes from other insurance providers. Never again will they get any of my business. Should have read their reviews here first. Looking at the bad reviews here, looks like its common practice to provide a substandard service. Probably get the same generic response as everyone else. 👇

I am having issues contacting TradeEx…

I am having issues contacting TradeEx who I understand Dial Direct insured me with. I have been on th3 phone with a nice gentleman based in south Africa which is where Dial Direct customer service is based. I tried raising a complaint about the fact my personal details are shared so globally without specific clarification from the company all hidden behind sharing data with "third party" my assumption is your third party is UK company!!!! The main issue is that my car insurance that I have been paying for since September and we are now almost in Decemeber is not reflecting my car as insured with MIB!!! I have had a nightmare time trying to get hold of dialdirect or tradeEx to sort this out. The SA gentleman was supposed to have sent my certificate via email, it never arrived!!! I am unable to login to the dial direct website!!!! This company is highly suspect and the octopus handed setup suggest a lot of tax evasion / focus on profiteering as against customer service. I have to call the police and make them aware that I am being charged for insurance even if my car is not currently showing at insured depute the fact I am paying!!!!! Avoid avoid avoid!!!!
