Tradex, avoid

We have used Tradex for many years now, the service has always been adequate. This year however has been appalling, we were asked if we wnated to renew our policy which we did, they managed to change the policy WITHOUT informing us and the ONLY way we discovered this was there was an incident in Portugal, thank god we are going through the Portuguse system, because as I said without notifying us they managed to WITHDRAW the European portion of the insurance. Sadly my partner has dithered about changing to another company so the 14 dy cool off period is something we cannot get out of but just to warn anyone else our premiums are now Β£696.31 a month for a policy thats not worth the paper they cut down 50 trees to write it on

I TOOK A MOTOR TRADE ROAD RISK POLICY FROM TRADEX THOROUGH PIB INDURANCE. AFTER TAKING INSURANCE I BEEN ASKED SO MANY UNNECCESSARY QUESTIONES EVERY WEEK FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS GIVING ME A LITTLE TIME TO REPLY. ON WEDNESDAY 28/05/205 I RECIVED A MAIL TO PROVIDE SOME MORE DOCUMENTS,6 READE INVOICE AND CARS LOG BOOKS PAGE 1-3 FOR CARS ON MID. FTER THAT MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELED WITHOUT DEMANDING ANY MORE DOCS. I EVEN PHONE TO TRADEXON 07/05/2025 TO CHECK IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED ALL PAPERS THEY DEMANDED OR THEY NEEDS ANYMORE INFORMATIOS OR DOCUMENTS AND I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MY BROKER AND MY POLICY WAS CANCELLED ON 08/05/2035 WITH OUT ANY EXPLAINATION. IT AHS RUINED MY BUSINESS. AFTER CANCELATION OF MY TRADE INSURANCE FROM TRADEX NO ONE WANTS TO INSURE ME ANY MORE AND I CAN NOT RUN MY CAR TRADE BUSINESS WITHOUT TRADE INSURANCE. IT IS VERY UNFAIR. I WISH NO ONE GO THOROUGH THIS ORDEAL.

If I could give Them no stars I would. I've been in business for a long time and I've never come across such a shocking company. My story is a long one so I won't bore you with it but if you go with these guys you are in for a world of pain.

Avoid this insurance company at all costs!

I would avoid this insurance like the plague. I was involved in a non-fault accident where the person who hit me and I are both insured with Tradex. They have done everything in their power to delay payment, and bully me to accepting a below retail value offer. The accident happend in February, their initial valuation was Β£4k under the agreed valuation of Β£30k. When I raised a complaint over the valuation, they gave me an interim cheque for Β£26k and told me it was just an interim payment and would settle in full later. At that point they took the courtesy car back, and I received a final settlement cheque of Β£100. I have returned the cheque, their tactic is to make you wait and wear you down so you end up accepting a below retail value of the car. They have setup an entire department for this purpose. I've given them several examples of what the car was worth at the time of the accident and they have ignored them all stating they use Glass's guide. Glass's guide does not take into account vehicle rarity which this was. The same guide values R34 GTR's at around Β£20-25k when in truth you can't buy one for less than Β£45k. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. They will not pay out in a reasonable time frame, and if they do payout it will be well below what it costs you to replace the vehicle. I've advised several friends and traders not to use them. Please do not make the same mistake I did, it has caused me nothing but anxiety and stress.

After being a loyal customer for 5…

After being a loyal customer for 5 years I have decided to switch. Their customer service is appalling and I dread to think how they would react if a claim was ever made. My advice is to go elsewhere. I ended up fully comprehensive for a cheaper rate than their 3rd party renewal. It's like they don't want your custom.

my opinion of tradex after 6 years of dealings

hi we have been with tradex appox six years and haven't had any problems we like cover for trucks over 7.5 tons and to date tradex are about the only broker that can cover the heavier vehicles ,thankfully I have never had to make a claim so I cannot review that side of things. my only gripe is having to fill out a new coverage form every year instead of just renewing the policy, the premiums are now at around our maximum affordability limit but as with all insurance providers there is fierce competition so shop around and compare quotes every year for the best deal out there

Attempted to buy insurance

Enquired about insurance, never bothered to call me back, when I finally managed to speak to a guy called Jamie (after 5 phone calls and 3 emails asking for contact) I was told that tradex are no longer offering insurance to new customers?? Yet you still advertise???
