We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.

Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

I have had setfords on my side for a few years now,all my legal matters are handled through this firm and they are able to look after all my personal and bussinis affairs. I have recently had a chance to work with Simon Hopewell and his team, and they have been a game chnger for me. Faye from setfords was exceptional on my expat buy to let remortgage. Many solicitors are unhelpful and take on cases then reject for complexity or because of the fact the property is apartment more than 5 stories or because you are an expat. Setfords accepted my case and Faye was organised, thorough and communicative throughout. She followed up with me when i was being slow and kept the process moving.
