We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.

Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

I had the mis-fortune of having to interact with Setfords during their conveyancing of a leasehold property for their client. The staff involved were appalling, unprofessional, inexperienced and inefficient. I deal with many solicitors and conveyancers. This firm is the worst immaginable. Avoid.

I was recommended to Victoria by a friend who said she was extremely thorough, and she wasn’t wrong. Not only did Victoria update me on such a regular basis that I never felt the need to chase her or ask what was going on with the sale, she also explained everything for me that I was unsure of, and made sure I knew exactly what would happen at each stage. I had an outstanding issue for a few months that was sat with my providers solicitor and she did everything possible to get the matter resolved and always looked after my best interests. I would absolutely recommend her, and did recommend her to a friend who also had a great experience. I would definitely work with Victoria again, and she’d be my first port of call if I intend to staircase or require anything else in a legal capacity and cant speak highly enough of her!

We have just bought our first house and used Evette and Sophie for the conveyance. What a service they provided us! Everything was done efficiently and quickly, no matter how big or small the matter. We instructed Louise to do the conveyancing for the sale of our property and within a few weeks we were ready to complete on the sale. We were at the top of the chain, with only three other parties involved – our estate agent informed us the sale would be simple! Five months later and after a number of complications at the bottom of the chain we have finally sold our property. Louise was amazing throughout the sale. Louise always responded to our queries quickly and efficiently, she regularly chased and followed up with our buyers solicitor and was professional, patient and empathetic throughout the sale, which at times, got incredibly frustrating and stressful.
