We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.
Karen was excellent! She was super responsive and helped with any questions we had as first time buyers. The whole experience was so smooth and speedy, would highly recommend Karen and Setfords!
Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

We have recently sold our property and we were recommended Evette Abbey at Setfords to support and advise us through that process. Evette was amazing throughout - she would respond to all communication in a timely manner, provided excellent advice and made the entire process a little less stressful. We knew that the legal side of the sale was in safe hands and we could focus on the rest. We would definitely recommend Evette Abbey and her assistant Sophie and will be asking them to support us with our purchase (when we find somewhere).

We used Setfords to represent us for conveyancing work after receiving a ridiculously expensive quote from another solicitor & on the back of their positive reviews on Trustpilot. From first contact up to completion of the sale today, we could not find fault. The lady I first spoke to discussed our options & explained how their service worked. We then received a quote & on acceptance of this we were put in contact with an Assistant Conveyancing Executive called Adam. We received all relevant documentation from him in a timely fashion & he was easily contactable either by phone or email to answer any queries & any messages left on his answer phone were responded to within less than an hour. His emails were always polite & courteous - a very personal service & much easier than making a journey to sit in a solicitors office. I would have no hesitation in recommending Setfords & many thanks again to Adam for a job well done - he is a credit to the company.

Thank you Leah Swindlehurst! We reached out to Setfords when looking at buying a house in Durham in August 2024. We had so many questions a we lived in Scotland and had no idea of the differences of buying a house in England vs Scotland. Setfords quickly paired us up with a phenomenal solicitor - Leah Swindlehurst. Leah had the dis-pleasure of battling a 7 month house purchase on our behalf but she was never anything but professional, helpful and empathetic towards us. The specifics are not important, but the fact that Leah stuck through this with us and helped us achieve the impossible (it seemed) is nothing short of amazing. Leah continued to fight our case with the other party that seemed to just ignore all requests to an almost comical level and we can now sit happily in our new home, and that is all down to Leah.
