Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

Claire was an amazing solicitor, she was the only one in the house chain actually getting things done. Without her it would have definitely dragged on longer and cost everyone more money, especially with the tax increase. Well worth the money.

Hana Patel was fantastic in helping us get the sale of our house and onward purchase through with some tricky deadlines and retentions to deal with. I had to pop into the head office to get some documents scanned over to Hana and everyone I dealt with was efficient and prompt. Would highly recommend Hana and Setfords as a whole. Hana is reliable, efficient, kind and overall it was a very pleasant experience.

This is the second time I've used Marina Hadfield for house sale/purchase and if I could give her six stars, or ten stars, I would. She's just incredible - hyper-efficient, organised and able to put things into layman-talk so I understood what was needed of me and when. I trusted her completely and with a tricky chain it was Marina that I leant on for an honest appraisal of what was happening. She's also incredibly personable which made the whole experience that much nicer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone moving house - Setfords has a true gem in Marina.

I've worked with Dawn twice now and Tricia this time around, and they are both outstanding. The sale of our house and purchase of a new property was not easy given the awful chain we were in and months of delays, but they both did an amazing job. We even managed to exchange and complete a day before the stamp duty change. Massive props to Tricia for remaining calm and hopeful under the immense amount of stress on the day. It was touch and go until the bitter end. They both really fought for us, especially Dawn, and I can confidently say I will be using Setfords again...if I have the stomach to go through it again!

I have just moved house -which is stressful -even more so as a single mum to a 10 month old!! So Carole Fox at Setfords made my life so much easier by being very efficient and helpful! I couldn’t really talk on the phone so Carole always responded to me on email promptly which was great as I could reply when it was convenient! Very happy with service-would definitely recommend her!
