We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.

Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

First time using Setfords for a house sale and purchase. We had Alison Grundy who was fantastic throughout. Despite the developer causing us problems, Alison was flexible and understanding to our needs, advising us to take our time and think about things despite getting pressure from the developer. Alison was always quick to answer questions, raise queries on our behalf and also challenge the developer on discrepancies. We’ve moved properties multiple times and generally have had good experiences with solicitors but Alison stands out above the rest! We would recommend and definitely use them again.

very experienced at calming the client with a timetable and possible costs ,at each point letters were sent and followed up on. In my case all was settled quickly and my ex-tenant laft with a tidy house in a very tidy state,this left me a lot calmer than I could have been in.

A home move. From start to finish,I was at all times kept up to date with what was happening. It was never any problem to ask questions, which were always quickly answered. The professional way that everything was dealt with gave me peace of mind, even though at times I wanted to panic. Right up to the final signature, I was put at ease by Helen, and it concluded with everything explained to me. I can't praise Setfords highly enough. 10/10
