We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.
Karen was excellent! She was super responsive and helped with any questions we had as first time buyers. The whole experience was so smooth and speedy, would highly recommend Karen and Setfords!
Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

I would highly recommend setfords. We have used for buying our home, the effort and time I received from Amy Cotterial and Beth Bass were second too non, always replied back to emails within a day of sending (i used another company for a house sale who were very slow in responses and updates) but not with setfords, my experience with them was very positive, they went above and beyond to get this through for us, and we had many bumps in the road that they dealt with , it wasn't the simplest case but they took the task and rose to the challenge! I was looking for a solicitor to deal with a house sale: the estate agent recommended Maria at Setfords and she gave me the most competitive quotation - decision made. That was two years ago. Since then she has handled for me - one aborted sale, two aborted purchases, sale of a small piece of land and finally, a successful sale and purchase. Throughout this time Maria and her team have always been professional, efficient, accessible and friendly. Their flexible working arrangements meant I’d sometimes receive an unexpected email reply late in the evening instead of waiting until the next day. The communication / administrative set up between the Guildford HQ (where you send paperwork and money) and Maria’s office in Newquay was impressive and seamless.
