We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.

Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

Poor communication from the solicitor. I had to chase several times to get responses to my questions, and even complained, but responsiveness didn’t improve. I won’t use Setfords again.

Setfords were fantastic from start to finish. Matthew Conroy was the gold standard of a solicitor during our first-time property purchase. He was clear, proactive, and incredibly experienced. Most importantly, he kept us updated every step of the way and simplified legal jargon when we didn’t quite understand, always willing to have a chat over the phone to clarify things. We simply wouldn't have completed without Matthew’s calm, steady guidance. We almost lost the property before enlisting Matthew as our solicitor and he turned our situation around, even making sure we completed by our preferred timeline. We cannot recommend Setfords enough.
