Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

Setfords were recommended to us from the estate agent when we were buying our home, and Naqibul was the one that handled our case. We couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism everything was handled, in very timely fashion showing great work ethic, even chasing third parties for things we were not aware we needed answered. While you'd constantly hear about people's experiences with solicitors not answering on time when you need them, we can definitely say our experience with Setfords and Naqibul was the exact opposite.

I had a CCJ served at a wrong address. I contacted Paul that gave me every information I needed in less than 10 minutes. It took a while (about 4 months), but it's just how these things go. I had to do nothing in the meantime and Paul just kept me up to date with the progress. At last, now my credit score bounced back by 200 points.

I would highly recommend Sarah March-Paschal at Setfords. She is very thorough, answers enquiries within the day, and is a pleasure to work with. The management company that serviced the flat I sold, and the freeholder, were obstructive at times but we got there in the end.
