We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.
Karen was excellent! She was super responsive and helped with any questions we had as first time buyers. The whole experience was so smooth and speedy, would highly recommend Karen and Setfords!
Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

My friends completed last year and recommended Fiasal Aslam to me, as he helped them so much with their first purchase. He was such a great solicitor to have on my side, as he dealt with so many things for me, that as a FTB with limited knowledge about the whole process, really saved my skin. From the beginning to the end house purchase, Karen Stewart has been absolutely fantastic. As a first time buyer, I was daunted by the house buying process, however Karen’s communication was top-notch and she was able to guide me through the process without any issues, responding to my queries promptly and nudging the estate agents and vendors when appropriate. Whilst I obviously have no prior experience to compare to, I feel like the praise I receive from the estate agent on completion day about how incredibly smooth this purchase was is a testament to Karen’s commitment and professionalism.
