Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file.
Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents.
Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me.
Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on.
I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

Awful experience, avoid at all costs! Our solicitor Jayne, was so unhelpful and rude to us and estate agents. She almost cost us our buyer after chasing the incorrect documents for months, we had to get involved to find the solution. Every question we had during the process we were met with confusing and unclear answers. Communication was not clear and we were almost led into buying a house with a huge risk. If it weren't for us speaking to a family friend who was also a conveyancing solicitor we would've went forward with a purchase with a massive risk. They do not have the clients interests at heart and do not provide full legal advice.
