We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.

Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

We had a few hurdles to cross in our sale, including losing a buyer. We also bought a rural property which is never straight forward. We dealt with Charlotte Robins, who was an absolute star. The best experience of a solicitor I have ever had. Responsive, knowledgeable, nothing was ever going to be a problem. If I had a question, Charlotte knew the answer. During our long winded move our son bought his first home and Charlotte made this a breeze for them. Thank you to Setfords for getting us to our destination. Really professional, quick and accurate updates. We had 6 weeks to complete the entire process of buying and selling a house. This company has done an amazing job to meet that deadline and it was a really pleasant experience. Special mention to Guy, Jo and their entire team! Matt Conroy/Setfords was one of the names suggested by our estate agent selling our property. Matt was amazing from our very first call together, when, even before being retained, he took the time to explain the process and what we could expect to happen with rough timelines.
