A great holiday company.

All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.

We found the cruise disappointing and misleading

We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

A very stressful holiday

A very stressful holiday. We will never travel with Scenic again. Their customer service is appalling - they don’t answer the phone or emails, and blame an IT problem in February. To be fair, the Scenic Jade was a lovely ship, with delightful staff, but rather disappointing food. The excursions were interesting, especially Keukenhof and Deltaworks. However, on day 5 the engine failed and we were transferred to a hotel. My impression is that the staff are struggling to keep things going, but that there is something seriously wrong at the top. We asked other passengers, and even regulars said they would never go with Scenic again after this experience.

Shocking

Shocking, shocking, shocking, they just want your money, anything after forget it, don’t answer emails, customer care non existent, don’t answer the phone, a company that has zero customer care , stay clear.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware, Scenic is very slick at getting your money, should you want to change anything with your booking or even talk to a human being you have zero chance of speaking to someone they just can't be bothered getting back to you, and to add insult to injury they even send reminders for payment when they have already taken payment. Zero customer service, I've only been waiting 2 weeks for customer services to get back to me after numerous requests sent by email.

CEO - stand up and be honest

I’ve been trying to get through to scenic over four days with no success. I’ve even tried Australia and Europe with again no success. The official line is its an IT problem. An IT problem does not affect a company across the world over this many days. The company should be honest with its customers. The CEO should make post a clear message now.

Tried to pay final balance for cruise…

Tried to pay final balance for cruise with sister company Emerald Cruises and what a SHAMBLES.Tried 3 times with 35 minute wait 1st time,38 minute wait 2nd time and 3rd time a message stating 'we are currently experiencing technical difficulties please try again later' and then I was cut off.WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS COMPANY? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE-I SHALL NEVER USE AGAIN. SUGGEST YOU AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

DO NOT BOOK WITH SCENIC

My cruise to Antarctica was cancelled on 25th June as I expected. I was told that I would receive my refund of 20K within 6 weeks. I contacted Scenic they were totally uncooperative & refused to discuss my refund because I had booked my cruise with Sixstarcruises. Sixstarcruises said they had contacted Scenic and that they could not do anymore. I am so angry when I booked this cruise in January I was asked to pay the full balance 20K. This took me by surprise. Anyway as this cruise was meant to be a special occasion. I maxed out on all my credit cards. Therefore you would expect Scenic to have the decency to refund its customers promptly. Forgot Scenic is not a decent company.

WHY DON'T THEY REALISE?

so very disappointed in Scenic, which i had, till now, thought of as a quality company. they've had most of the money owed to us since July 2019 (18 months) and said it'll be 8 weeks till we get reimbursed, despite it's a legal requirement to refund us within 2 weeks of them cancelling the trip. why don't they realise that it's their "today" actions that will impact on our future decisions to use them or not.

Any problems and you deal with calll centre kids, first name only

We paid £7600 for river trip, cancelled due to COVID, “ Stuart” from scenic has continued to give my agent and me the runaround regarding my refund. I’m now in my 5th week of waiting and it’s been repetitively pointed out to me that I’ll probably wait at least 3 months, they are actually obliged to refund it in 14 days. It’s impossible to speak to anyone responsible,in accounts, with a surname. My travel agent has tried to be helpful .What happens if Scenic, or unfortunately, my Agent, goes into liquidation.

Scenic Sapphire on the Rhone

Excellent Rhone cruise, 26 August. We were very impressed with our first Scenic cruise. Excellent organisation to get us to and from the cruise ports, via Eurostar. Shore trips were very well organised and we appreciated that like virtually everything else on the trip they were at no extra cost, being included in the initial price. Our total bill at checkout was 25 euros, as my wife had a very professional manicure in the Spa.. The European staff of 46 hospitality and 7 boat-crew were brilliant. Drinks were always available, whether in the cabin or elsewhere, and served with a smile. We enjoyed the food - buffet style at breakfast and lunch, with seated service for dinner. At the welcome reception on the first evening, the excellent Dutch cruise director asked the 148 passengers to raise their hands if they had cruised with Scenic before. I would guesstimate that about 120 hands went up! We thought, as first-timers, this was a very good omen for a great cruise, and it is exactly what happened. Our one and only slight disappointment was the small cabin size, approx 100 sq. ft. without the bathroom and balcony. However we shall be very happy to join the Scenic Frequent Floaters in the future!
