Ripple Energy is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.

I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like a pressure sell....invest now or miss out. Disgusted really from the comments what has happened.
Just read thrives renewable said that there sorry to hear ripple gone under that no payment has been made to them either from Ripple or the coop. There looking forward to dealing with one or the other but at moment there continues with build on there own. Why hasn't ripple sorted a deal
Could not make my final payment. Just checked their reviews and have found out they have gone bust. Thanks for telling us no doubt I would have lost my investment. The Directors would be well cared for got scam written all over it. Have had no return on my investment.

Invested in one wind and one solar project. Easy to understand and a good ethical investment for long term sustainable energy. Quicker ways to invest and make money but few that support a green future in the same way. Will invest in future projects offered.

Brilliant idea, making rapid progress to already making back my investment into the Craig fatha project, years before I expected to even though this was not the reason for getting involved. Brilliant way to take an active step to reducing our emissions whilst moving between properties.

As a passionate supporter of renewable energy, i was delighted when I first heard about Ripple Energy. So i became a co-owner of the Graig Fatha wind turbine for part of my electricity supply, and have completed it with shares in the next two projects. I compliment Ripple on this brilliant idea, their professional help and communication skills. I really hope that the idea spreads and spreads, because it makes it possible for everyone to participate in the benefits of transitioning to a greener and cheaper energy supply, regardless of whether they own or rent. And the cost savings i am currently making from my Graig Fatha wind turbine have been phenomenal due to the current energy costs, proving that the Ripple concept works.

A good way to go green, but definitely not a good investment. Why? Because even though the return is about 6-8%, you don't get your original investment back. So really it's terrible. Just a bit of a gimmicky money spinner for the founders most likely. They gotta put food on the table somehow I suppose. Response: Thank you. I appreciate your perspective. What I'm saying is that it's far more effective for the customer to put aside that X amount that they'd spend on Ripple into an actual investment vehicle, and spend the return on green energy from an existing supplier. It might even be greener as setting up a new wind/solar farm is not a carbon-neutral endeavour. Update to response: If it's not an investment, then what is it? A hobby? Put a sock in it bro. Folks would be better investing in a company that actually makes a difference and then using those proceeds to live greener. As it is, Ripple is not a good deployment of capital.

Hi there I am interested in joining ripple. But I am concerned about how long it takes for the projects to get connected to the grid. There has been Many debates at government level about the backlog of connections to the grid. Do you foresee this becoming an issue with ripple? Also what is the average time it takes once construction is complete till connection to the grid. Thankyou in advance for the response.

Happy to report that I'm still very happy with Ripple. I am a co-owner of Graig Fatha, the UKs first cooperative wind farm - myself and 905 other people receive bill credits every month for what our share of the turbine generates. I only purchased a small amount of the wind turbine (equivalent to around 25% of my usage at the time), but have been very happy with what I've received back. But for me the project is more about putting money directly into green energy, which is something I'm passionate about. Nothing like putting your money where your mouth is. I was so impressed with the first wind turbine that i invested a much larger amount in the second project (Kirk Hill). Although this won't be operational until late this/early next year, the team do a great project of keeping owners up to date with build progress and after seeing how well Graig Fatha has gone so far, I'm looking forward to it! I've also invested a small amount in Derrill Hill, the UK's first shared solar project, and am looking to see how that progresses too. So far I am really loving everything that Ripple does, and everything they stand for. And I couldn't recommend them enough.

Moaners obviously do not do their homework. It is an investment in green energy for the future not a get rich quick scheme. Having had solar on my house for years my move to an apartment block meant I could not repeat the exercise so Ripple has allowed me to enter the solar power field again.

At first glance, this looks like a great investment. But when you read the fine print you only get a small discount off your bill, 6.1p is what they're quoting in their current project. So say I invest 4k or whatever to generate "100%" of my electricity from this investment, it gets me a whooping 6p a kwh off the 34p or so that I'm currently paying... I understand why, and this may still be a decent investment, but I think they need to clarify that you're still paying a lot for this electricity you invested to generate to get to your home.
