One way to go "green", terrible investment
A good way to go green, but definitely not a good investment. Why? Because even though the return is about 6-8%, you don't get your original investment back. So really it's terrible. Just a bit of a gimmicky money spinner for the founders most likely. They gotta put food on the table somehow I suppose. Response: Thank you. I appreciate your perspective. What I'm saying is that it's far more effective for the customer to put aside that X amount that they'd spend on Ripple into an actual investment vehicle, and spend the return on green energy from an existing supplier. It might even be greener as setting up a new wind/solar farm is not a carbon-neutral endeavour. Update to response: If it's not an investment, then what is it? A hobby? Put a sock in it bro. Folks would be better investing in a company that actually makes a difference and then using those proceeds to live greener. As it is, Ripple is not a good deployment of capital.
