I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

I am a first time Van Mildert user and…

I am a first time Van Mildert user and I must say that Megan, the member of staff who answered my queries regarding insurance etc, could not have been more helpful and professional in her approach and made the whole process painless. The pricings and covers are very reasonable and the service is first class. I would highly recommend.

Very good experience

Not sure why some people are giving this company such a bad rap, they received my application for tenant referencing on Friday afternoon and completed it by Tuesday morning without a hitch. I literally filled in the application and they took care of the rest, and I was offered the property on the Tuesday. Overall I can't see any reason to leave anything other than a 5 star review, and I'm only doing so as I think they deserve a little bit of credit on here, and to assure people they do a good job and there's nothing to worry about.

Data correction

Contacted Rightmove as our property purchase price had been registered incorrectly with/by the Land Registry and was therefore exhibiting incorrect data on Rightmove. Rightmove liaised with me and the Land Registry and Jamie Bolt quickly sorted it out with courtesy and good communication.

I have dealt with Van Mildert for less…

I have dealt with Van Mildert for less than 5 days and they have been nothing but friendly and professional. But, the thing that stands out the most has been their communication. They didn't only keep me up to date with every step, their response were immediate and they offered other options (proof of evidence) before being asked. They responded in a more than expected time frames. I can not rate the employees enough. Thank you, I couldnt recommend you enough

Absolutely awful experience

Dealing with Van Mildert has been the single most stressful experience I have ever had when trying to move house. We received an email from them and began to fill in the Referencing forms which were sent back, we then received several emails and phone calls asking us to send supporting information, which we did, we sent exactly what was asked for then received an email saying they needed something else which we sent and then received a call asking for something else. Each time we were contacted we were told something different. At one point one of their employees told me that he had sent an email to my Wife detailing exactly what we needed to send but when we checked she had had nothing at all from them. At one point I was asked by them to contact my employer and ask him to hurry up with his reference, firstly they did this the day after contacting him and secondly they are being paid to gather the reference so its down to them to do this not me. Then when my employment reference arrived with them they stated they "didn't belive it was credible" and asked for payslips and a copy of my signed employment contract, by this time I'd had enough of their BS and demanded to talk to a Manager who, of course, didn't contact me. I then rang the Estate Agents with the intention to cancel the move due to stress and hassle of dealing with this company, whilst I was in the phone Van Mildert emailed the Agent saying we had passed the referencing - I had not sent the Contract so they obviously didn't really need it. Once all this was over they then rang me to offer me insurance! NOT A CHANCE! the issues I'd have with this company I would never, ever, ever use them for something else.

Chris. F. Was brilliant, super friendly and very helpful, and so were all the other people I dealt with. They supported me, and basically held my hand through the whole process. This can be a stressful situation, but everyone at Van Mildert made it easy and efficient, even chasing me up offering help. Brilliant job everyone, very impressed, a great company obviously for encouraging perfect customer service, thank you! Ref. Reply. Complete let down has left me in the 💩

After spending months looking for a property, multiple estate agents let us down along with ms rona messing stuff up, and we finally found an amazing flat. Complied with all of Van Mildert’s requests and were emailed a confirmation of our referencing. The email stated that both the landlord and referencing company were happy to have us, the email even said “congratulations” 🤣 Anywayyyyy I’m out here buying my furniture, thinking I’m moving into this flat (what would have been tomorrow) and I get a call yesterday (so 2 days before I’m supposed to be MOVING IN, AFTER HAVING GIVEN MY NOTICE POST BEING TOLD WE WOULD BE GETTING THE KEYS ON FRIDAY) my estate agent tells me my landlord has only just received my reference, and that they don’t want to go ahead with renting the property to us. What a JOKEEEEE of a company! Don’t lie to people! Especially in the current climate, where money is tight and people cany just pay deposits for fun! Less so to have our time completely wasted!
