I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

Do not insure with them...not their problem...

I purchased landlord property insurance from Rightmove, their name and address was in large fonts on every page of the 32 page contract, but when it came to a claim for just £1,000 they said it was nothing to do with them as the company concerned was underwritten by LPG Insurance. LPG rejected the claim to my estate agent without reason. Rightmove obviously get commission from LPG but they do not care about the customer who has to deal with them.

Great customer service …

I was very impressed by Rightmove’s customer service when I contacted them to have the photo images of my property removed from their website. I emailed with the required information and the same day I received a comprehensive response, confirming they would be taken down and the personal information I had provided had been properly deleted. Within an hour or so the images had been removed. Great service 👍

Personalised feedback.

I raised a feature request with the Rightmove app team to add custom area searches to the app. Jamie confirmed that there wasn't a way to do this currently but there is a work-around. To actually get personalised feedback suggests they are attentive to users needs. Keep it up.

Discriminatory approach

As a tenant, I failed this company's check because my employer is not based in the UK, which would require extra effort on their part to verify my information (and, obviously, they don’t want to do that). They are not interested in providing a qualitative assessment—if something is unclear to them, they simply deduct points. One of the reasons for my rejection was that instead of using Open Banking, I provided bank statements. However, Rightmove offered two options for income verification: (1) Open Banking or (2) submitting bank statements. I don’t understand why they even offer the second option if they’re just going to use it against the tenant.

Terrible service from rental agents

So far,I've been lied to by some estate agents,I was even sent on two viewings that I applied for only to be told"i don't know why you were booked in for them,they had already gone and yet she was the one that booked me in,so far it's been awful,no call backs,lied to,and its not right move its,so far,every estate agent I've contacted except one

The app is a useful tool to find…

The app is a useful tool to find properties and keep track of the progress however it lacks certain features. You're currently unable to delete or archive properties you've requested to view. A delete or archive button is needed as otherwise your enquiries screen cannot be tidied up and the list just keeps on growing.
