Big disappointment in the professionalism of PLS solicitors. Such a slow team which is not bothered to update you with your case and after writing emails after emails and calls after calls I’m still not sure about my land registry and more than 40 months since I bought the house so over 3 years

Regrettably, the negative reviews from other users are indeed accurate. My experience corroborates the widespread dissatisfaction: 1. Their online portal is not only poorly designed but also appears to present several security vulnerabilities. 2. Communication is exceedingly subpar: - Emails are seldom answered, and when they are, the responses are significantly delayed. - On a particularly urgent day, I phoned three times only to be repeatedly told that my solicitor would return my call, which never occurred. An urgent email requesting a response the following day was also ignored. 3. They forwarded comments to the seller before providing me the opportunity to review and add any additional remarks. 4. They are billing me for 70% of the costs (following the cancellation of the purchase) without any itemised breakdown. Despite numerous emails requesting clarification, I have received no response. Upon calling, I was informed that my solicitor was on holiday – a common excuse I have encountered, whether it be “on holiday” or “on a break.” Even after two months, I am still awaiting a resolution. 5. I inquired about potential benefits should I choose to engage their services for a future purchase, but this too went unanswered. It appears they not only disregard their current clients but are also disinterested in future business.

Purchase and Re-mortgage , simultaneous completion , zero communication for weeks on end , had to send documents multiple times , estate agents and sols for vendors had no reply from them also for weeks on end. I used PLS through my work using a sourcing company called LMS , i can tell you now , no one in my firm will ever use these again , even LMS had to make a complaint against them as nothing was getting done. Paid for searches mid April , these were actioned on the 20th May. Also the bill included a £315 charge for acting on behalf of the lender which should have been included in the fixed legal costs , when i queried this , i was simply told this can be taken off (scary to think if i hadnt queried this i would have just been charged an extra £315)

I did buy my house 1 week ago. Pls portal is easy do understand . Price of the service was not the lowest but did not change from what was agreed.Everything what should be done was done on time , my solicitor Jordan Potts did respond to my questions and phonecalls so from his side and did not get any stress.Somehow everything was done very quickly Thank you very much

At first I was hesitant using the recommended solicitor from the estate agent. But, Caroline on the Thomas Booth team was exceptional. She was the only person we really dealt with through the sale and purchase of our homes. We had a good rapport with her throughout a stressful process but we got there in the end. Highly recommend.
